People don't like him because he's not Top, and once a ship has sailed, everyone would rather nuke the whole fleet than see anyone else paired with either. I think Win is lovely. He's not over-the-top like the main characters, but it's not like Top was particularly interesting either.

People aroud here take it very personally when you don't like the same shows that they do. I don't care much for Gameboys and I'm the anti-Christ. For this show, I'll watch the first ep and see what I think, and if boring, I'll skip to ep 6 following your advice.

I'm kind of curious what "suspect" motives I would have for writing a review - not everyone likes everything. I did go back and watch up to the current time, but I like it less and less as it goes on, so there's really no reason for me to spend time on something I'm not enjoying.

Thanks - I watched more an adjusted my rating. Downward. I'm glad it was a misdirect, but that's all there is here - external plot devices/twists rather than character/relationship development. And I mean organic development, not just Cairo suddenly deciding he's Gav's baby, which is way out of character. I will say the Cairo actor is way better than I gave him credit for based on the earlier episodes. He's wasted in this show. Maybe they should have cast him as Gav and it would have been more interesting.

At least it HAS a love story. This is just one person flirting and pouting and the other one acting irritated, then suddenly proclaiming himself "Gav's baby" which is completely out of character. What has actually happened in 10 episodes? Almost nothing.

I changed my mind about the acting - when called upon to act, Cairo was excellent. I'm certainly not into the hot young gay boy trope - that's one of my issues with this series - Gav just pouts and flirts all the time and it's repetitive and relies too much on his cuteness and not enough on plot. The plot needs to be driven by organic character interaction, not an endless series of external events - car breaks down, COVID death, evil ex-bf, irrelevant ex-gf, etc. I think 10 episodes should count as "giving this a chance" I'm not sure why my dislike of this series bothers people so much, but I appreciate your feedback and edited my review - as you mentioned, saying "stay away" is not appropriate.

I appreciated this balanced review - everyone seems to either love it or hate it. Regarding lips, if you are hit in the mouth, your lips will bleed. It's actually unrealistic to a ridiculous degree how being punched in the face seems to do nothing on most shows. You will bleed and get an ugly bruise - there's not much padding on your face. What I think is really bad is when someone trips and their faces mash together for an accidental kiss. In reality teeth and blood would fly everywhere.

I like this ten times more than Gameboys. Actually infinitely more because I'm not a big fan of GB. I could watch Ep 4 over and over all day.

It wasn't your lack of comprehension - I found it confusing too. I couldn't get through it. I had no connection at all to any of the characters, and the main pair weren't even in the same scene until it was a third over. It just too boring to watch. And I can tell you it certainly didn't make me want to buy any of that toothpaste - they all looked so miserable using it.

I get what you're saying, but sexuality is a lot more important to who you are than your blood type or zodiac sign - it's a fundamental element of your nature. If the society you live in is hostile to that nature, there is an often difficult path to self-acceptance - for example I was in my late 20s before I got there. I think maybe you were a tad angry when you wrote this (justifably so) - to me it was wonderful and realistic for a Thai drama compared to the usual "every straight boy in this school just hasn't found the right boy yet" fare - UNTIL THAT ENDING RUINED IT.

That's interesting - I had the opposite reaction. I love Jin Shirasu - I think he's so soulful and vulnerable, and so beautiful it hurts. But I'm western, so maybe you're right. I'm also a guy, which seems to put me at odds with everyone else about who is attractive (both looks and personality) - so often I just don't get why everyone likes certain actors (like Saint in Thai BL, who I think is meh looking and lifeless in his acting). I find Raiko weaker, but it may just be the material, as you pointed out. Or maybe the hair is too distracting. Who has that style for 7 years? (I just finished ep 2, and I assume he still has it when he's 40). 1/10 might be a little harsh for the music - I don't notice it all, which is not good, but that's better than being too loud or irritating. Anyway, I appreciate being able to read a contrasting review, so thanks.

How many BLs you've watched has no bearing on my opinion of a specific one, which I do not enjoy. That's the magic of humankind - we all have our opinions. You apparently like this show, and I don't take that personally. Someday I hope you'll be mature enough not to take other people's opinions personally.

The Shipper only underlines this - he is so far superior in acting ability to everyone else on the show that it almost feels like he's on a different show - it's so awkward. Also, the boy is smokin' hot. I was even won over to the idea of incest as long as he was involved. First is good too, but he's not in the Ohm category. TBH, I thought he outshined Singto fairly heavily in He's Coming to Me.
