You are not. But I can't tell you how happy I am to meet someone else who isn's a Saint fan. When I don't care for someone that everyone else likes, I can usually still "get" why people feel that way. Not here. I just don't understand why everyone loves Saint - he is a terrible actor and I don't think he's very attractive. He would have ruined this series because the actor has to have good comic timing, and Saint doesn't have good anything timing.

Saint has low body fat, but nowhere near the muscle mass - he looks good, but not when Zee has his shirt off nearby...

His body is ridiculous - I can ususally tell what someone will look like under his shirt, but nothing prepared me for that!

I do not understand the low ratings - bizarre. I still haven't watched the last couple of episodes of Until We Meet Again because I just don't care, but I'm in pain waiting for the next episode of this. Everything about it is good - even the recycled tropes are given new life, the acting is great, the leads have obvious chemistry but it's not overplayed, there are no accidental kisses (whenever that happens I start to lose interest - if you fell down the stairs and your lips smashed into someone else's, there would be blood and teeth everywhere. Not romantic), no girlfriend in the way, even the OOT gay guy is different - like when he beat the crap out of four people at once. And they do it without a whiff of homophobia. I love this.

Yeah, I wish they had paired him with the almost-as-attractive Tommy (or he would be if they'd get rid of that stupid haircut). I find Saint almost totally unappealing.

I am 100% with you. I'm still in the silly phase of the ep and I'm struggling to get through it. I'll do my best to watch the 3rd part, but the sound effects are making me want to murder people. Also, the bangs. Are foreheads sinful in Thai culture or something? At least they're showing some skin - without that I would probably have given up by now.

I thought so too, but I don't understand why an angel can't recognize that.

I almost gave up on 3 Will Be Free - fortunately the end of Ep 2 made it clear Jennie would play a major role and so I was hooked. She was f#$%ing scary at the end of the ep when she vowed revenge. And what was fantastic was that she played it realistically instead of cartoonishly, which is an extremely positive development in Thai drama, which tends to marginalize and make ridiculous trans characters. I absolutely love her and will watch anything she is in.

Agreed. After the first time I ever had any physical affection from a boy that was non-ambiguous, there was no going back. Type is BOTTOMING REPEATEDLY and is still confused? Sorry, but no. It's frustrating and unpleasant to watch.

Nope. I was getting frustrated with the repetitiveness, and like one minute later into Ep 4, Type made his surprising request. It's exciting that there's actual physical contact between the leads unlike most Thai BL dramas.

I'm having a hard time slogging through this show - does it stop being so repetitive at some point? I'm on ep 4 part 1.

I think it's largely because Pha & Wayo had their story rushed through too fast and without obstacles for us to get invested. Also, Pha is played by the Worst Actor in Human History. I have an intense physical attraction to Wayo, but the acting there isn't helping anything, either. Plus, the actors who play Ming, Kit, and Forth are just so much better and more engaging, so Pha & Wayo just fade into the background.

I totally agree - context matters. If someone is trying to be insulting, that's an issue, as it's not only homophobic but also misogynist. Men are often nicknamed for something stupid they've done, which is no worse than being called "wifey".

I feel like you're devaluing both bottoms and women. Biologically, in a male-female relationship, humankind has evolved so that the male puts his thing in the female, and a top puts his thing in a bottom. I don't see how one is lesser than the other. On the other hand, Thai BL seems to me to be intensely misogynistic and homophobic - "I'm not gay, I just happen to love and get f#$% by a man." On the other other hand, I haven't really seen it used in a demeaning way, at least in 2moons2.

I agree there are lots of problems in BL, like rape (at least m/m) being romanticized - there are times when one guy puts on a pretense of resistance, and I'm OK with that, but there are others where someone is actively fighting back and shouting "no!" and "get off of me!" until they are forcibly held down. Also using effeminacy ("ladyboys") as (incredibly loud and exaggerated) comic relief (which to me is as shockingly offensive as people wearing blackface), women largely being vicious and conniving plot devices, and whoever writes the subtitles using "gonna" and "wanna", which to a native speaker is like having hot needles poked into your eyeballs (it should never be in writing unless you're trying to make a character sound like an illiterate bumpkin - "I'm gonna go to the store" is essentially "I'm going to go to the store", which is terrible grammar. "I'm going to the store" is what you would almost always use, at least if you graduated from high school [or in some regional dialects in the USA]). Obviously the rape thing is more important than the gonna thing (which is actually only irritating and not outweighed by my gratitude for having subtitles at all).

On the other hand "Wait, can I be the top?" "No." [Throws him down and has his way with him] was funny and hot. That shows you a character can be sexy-domineering without being a rapist.

I'm a gay man and I am not bothered at all at being called "wife", which is usually teasing or ironic. It's not insulting in the slightest unless you're misogynistic and devalue "feminine" attributes. That being said, I'm not within the Thai cultural context, so I have nothing to say on whether or not it's demeaning in that setting.

Sotus was good because of the Arthit actor, better writing, and better production values. Sotus S made me break things, it was so frustrating, and then Our Skyy rescued the situation. The Our Skyy director is doing Dark Blue Kiss, so I have hope.
