Well I watched a good portion of these and they didn't help me out of my slump, I think my standards have been set so high by becoming super interested in k-dramas in 2022 and I am just sick of 2023 and 2024 k-dramas not being anywhere near as good as 2022 k-dramas lol
My fancasts for Gerard since the actor playing him hasn't been revealed yet, if there even is one: - Lee Chae-Min (reunion for crash course in romance lol) - Moon Sang-Min - Lee Ha-Min (once again, another twinkling watermelon cast member)
no official casting, but if its not moon sang min i’ll cry. i also wouldn’t mind if it was that tall band…
Yeah Gerald is an important character in the webtoon and I really hope he is in the show. I do understand that they might struggle to find an actor who fits the description of him though, since his height is very important for his character (eg. his entire fighting style is based on his legs being really long lol) and there are not too many Korean actors out there who are 190cm+
Season 2 will probably be going to cover a lot more chapters of the webtoon compared to season 1. Season 1 only…
I think unlike season 1 where they added a ton of things, season 2 will do the opposite. Since Wolf is in it, season 1 of the webtoon will most likely be compressed and many details removed. I wouldn't mind if there was no Jimmy Bae or anything and it just went straight to Wolf, with the friendship still being developed prior to that. I agree that 3 seasons is enough, maybe 4 seasons at most. The manhwa is very long but there are many parts that I didn't care about, like those strong people in season 3 who I can't even remember the names of, I just remember one had red hair and fought Wolf. If the show compresses the manhwa and sticks to only using the characters who are present in season 1 then it won't need many seasons
no official casting, but if its not moon sang min i’ll cry. i also wouldn’t mind if it was that tall band member from twinkling watermelon (mainly cause the reunion would be cool lol) but i’m not too sure how his acting is
that would be so weird tbh, he’s really tall for a korean and teddy is small
Oh, on kisskh they listed the wrong Shin Won-ho. The one from 1993 looks fine for it but can he really play it? I’ve not seen him in anything since Prison Playbook, and that was 6 years ago
Considering the 1st season (around 11 chapters) was 8 episodes, and the Weak Hero webtoon is 267 chapters (completed),…
i doubt it will be in proportion, season 1 had so much added content that wasn’t in the webtoon and i feel like doing that for the actual main story wouldn’t be good. in season 1 all the new characters and character changes were to make it more interesting and action-packed, but the material this season will adapt already has all of that so i don’t think they’re gonna change as much and therefore i think they’ll adapt way more chapters (also considering donald and wolf are both here despite not appearing in the webtoon for like 60 chapters)
I really don't like saying this but you definitely did not pay attention to anything in the show if that is your take on it. Su-ho is such a morally in-line character despite him always resorting to violence. It's shown that this habit of his only applies for people who 1000% deserve it though so I can't possibly fathom why you might have this opinion unless you didn't watch the show or weren't actually watching it (or if this comment is bait in which case I've taken it)
for webtoon/manhwa readers i think stephen is stronger than donald na.. what do you think?
If I was to attempt to compare Donald in the webtoon and Stephen/Suho in the show (which is a bit dumb because the power scales for the main cast of season 2 haven't been shown yet) I'd say Suho would probably be around the same level as fighters like Jake Ji and Wolf Keum, idk about Ben Park but probably him as well tbh. Considering Suho was a miles better fighter than everyone in his school, and beat up like 10 of the boxer guy's schoolmates with ease as a warm up, it would be kinda stupid if they were to make Donald much stronger than Suho. I do hope that the boxer guy shows up in season 2 (i am kinda biased because i like the actor) and replaces a character like Jimmy Bae. We literally cannot compare both their characters in the webtoon because we never saw Stephen fight. I mean sure, one aspect of his character is that he doesn't bluff, but that isn't concrete proof of anything and leaves only speculations about him
