shold I drop it? I'm on episode 6 and it's very good, but there's a lot of unanswered questions and things that don't make sense at the moment, and I'm hoping that the next half of the show will explain, but looking at these comments it looks like I'll just be disappointed & I don't wanna waste 10 hours watching this if I'll end up regretting it later
I don't really get the hype for this show, the soundtrack is not good (especially when they started playing Imagine Dragons in the first episode like what), the CGI is also not good, the characters are not interesting at all other than maybe 2 or 3 at most, and for me personally it was almost tedious to get through because I found it very boring
I'm on episode 9 and I will say this show gets progressively better as the relationships between the characters build and we learn more about them. The acting is also solid too, I had never seen Jihoon in anything before I watched WHC1 in which I saw how good of an actor he was, and despite this not being his best performance it's certainly up there. Definitely worth watching for those who like young adult, slice-of-life, relatable drama.
I think it might be awhile for him get up to his full strength.
True but in the webtoon I feel like there is too much content to adapt in three 8 episode seasons. They will have to take even longer and obviously change some things and get a completely new cast, and considering that in the show Jihoon will have to be the same age or at most a year older there will definitely be a noticeable difference
I think it might be awhile for him get up to his full strength.
True, but they may probably shorten what happens in the webtoon in order to get to what happens in it. Otherwise by the time they adapt it Jihoon will be too old to play a HS student.
The whole group originated from the fact that Gil-soo gets money from kids through a gambling app that him and his friend run abroad, then forces them to work for him to pay off their debts. This means that his gang are also kids or young adults. The reason Si-eun and Soo-ho struggled to beat Gil-soo in a fight and not the others is because he is much older and has more experience in fighting, even though Soo-ho is literally a fighter. If they weren't fighting a gang of kids I would understand that it wouldn't be realistic but the whole thing is explained in the show, and yes this would be unlikely in real life, however in real life there aren't as many scumbags who would steal money from kids and then threaten them compared to the universe weak hero is set in. It will even get worse in season 2 as shown by the webtoon.
