No over the top jarring background music and those ridiculous excessive comedy sound tracks. Instant extra brownie points from me. This show looks SO good despite (very) few flaws. The visuals are top notch, chemistry is fire, acting is very fine, storyline looks very interesting, flow is engaging. A very strong beginning. Hoping for a spectacular ride. Saint really deserve all the kudos for bringing back to back extremely different genres and stories. And this despite being so young and going through so much. Wishing success to him and the entire team.
You know what will make this series infinitely watchable- Erasing Sunshine. Kyu is the stand out character with a story to tell that looks worth listening to. And actor is doing a great job. Rain who I deemed scum came across as decent human being this episode. Rest of the characters are fine enough. And then there is Sun. The character and the acting and everything thing about him. A compulsive completionist here but him for 10 episodes more... Hard pass despite Kyu.
Is Manaow the protagonist or the villain in the story? Chasing Gyo, professing love to her, sleeping with Luktan when she was drunk senseless, vulnerable and then callously discarding her and all this when she was a good friend of yours and then treating her abominably. You might not owe her your love but shreds of even basic human decency is missing. Technically it might not be cheating but pretending sleeping with a drunk vulnerable friend is no big deal and letting Gyo believe that you only love her all along giving off impression that you've been waiting desperately for her. Damn Naow started off as my favourite character. Gentleman amidst boys level green flag. She is now sea of red flag in communist parade.
I just read somewhere that this will probably be Jeff's last series. Now l just need someone to confirm it before…
Jeff is acting in a movie. In some event he did say that he is part of another big secret project which is neither album nor movie. So it could be series or something else but yes he is still very much interested in acting field. So unless the confirmation of quitting the field comes directly from Jeff himself or his studio everything else is speculation. Hope this helps :)
I'm finding the character Boss extremely annoying. The actor is nice to look at but he is overdoing it with weird way of delivering dialouges. It's distracting. Hope Kenji's hairstyle is wig. Actually sporting that as hair he should be suing the hairstylists. He too is overdoing it. Wahl is just infuriating. My favourite got to be Tul. Character and acting done right. Ping is pretty to look at but hope he finds a character to play which has more braincells to rub. Meen is the finest of all and a good actor. Bless his maker!
Pretty cast, cute chemistry and lot of potential but when the show should be marathon this one is sprinting breathless. Feels like running treadmill set on max at moment go. And very first part of the first episode with no English subs is a bad move. The show is still quite cute. Main cp are adorable.
I'ma just gonna' go ahead and believe you and not waste my time, because I was already preeeeeetty sure I was…
Cheers to MaxTul Supremacy. Make it normal to judge anyone who don't submit to this religion. We stan superior. Ha! Yes the trailer relied totally on sex-shock factor and hence I ventured in thinking it would be either shocking or tick 'so bad that it is good' category but goodness gracious swinging Batman! This falls in genre atrocious. Can't wrap my head around the confidence that we are supposed accept the just out of puberty dumbsters as people living on edge, kink, danger and death. There is this one who looked 15 and after some tepid rubbing and kissing proclaims 'Not many can handle me! I'm so rough!' Child! There are rougher period cramps. To be fair 1 or 2 arcs had potential to be interesting. 2-3 actors are sort of good. But everything else? Let's say how low an opinion the makers must of having of BL watchers that they pass 'this' as as some risque project? Hope they didn't expend all their acting skills, visuals, kink, shock, sleaze etc etc on trailer and called it a day. After all this is just episode one.
Awful. The trailer looked risque, edgy, no holds barred. The episode product was trashy, tacky, cringe. The supposedly unhinged, dangerous rich kids looks too young and dumb. And their jerking off scenes comes across as icky as opposed to hawt. The nudity does nothing. The nc scenes are meh and the kissing scenes are even meh-er. Barring maybe 2-3 actors of the cast none of them are impressive as actors or characters. Full clothed say MaxTul can bring in more fire being in the same room than whatever supposed to be happening here. Heck I would rate acutely embarrassing Venus in the sky hotter than this trying hard soft p*rn. There seems to be semblance of story with the missing guy. Might stay around skipping to check it.
Sand and Ray are insanely engaging. Nick is being pathetic for Boston; would be interesting to see him going psychotic to tie (literally and figuratively) Boston with himself. Boston is agent of chaos feeding on others misery to thrive his depraved soul. Hope he doesn't get any poor-me background to rationalize his vileness. Novelty to watch a main character being unapologetically awful with no excuse cards to play. Mew I believe is not a naive innocent one. He knows tricks, trades, games and checkmates of mating game. He is smart enough to gauge his friends but prefers ignorance to keep peace. I don't think he will get any 'villainous shades'. Atleast I hope not for I don't think Book has enough acting caliber to pull off shades and layers. Top is just smirking or giving annoyed cocky expressions. In the sequence where he should be disgusted with Boston; all that was conveyed was mild annoyance. Add to it TopMew story is least engaging. I hope in the end Sand and Nick just say eff yous to the entire messed up friend gang and go off to Thai BLs standard Beach escapade as friends walking into sunset. Atleast Sand finds peace and freedom from the toxic mess.
I probably am the extreme minority but I genuinely see only Bro-energy from Perth-Chimon pairing. No romantic, fiery, toe-curling, butterflies and rainbow barfing unicorn chemistry but two good to great friends cosplaying as to-be-lovers. Chimon-Nanon on the other hand were fire despite non BL storyline. Perth with Saint/Mark was stupendous. Maybe it's just the done to death and resurrection blue shorts setup and cliches galore. Both are extremely good actors individually.
After what feels like eons finally a fluff series done right. Light, cute, warm, fluffy. And the cast can act besides being so easy on eyes. Surprised at how much enjoyable the show is turning out to be. It nearly flew under the radar. Deserves much more love and appreciation.
U got it girl.like they should just leave this genre alone ,if they can't do justice to it.speaking of passionate…
Devil's Judge! Excellent taste right there my friend! Single scene of bomb defusal and hug afterwards packed more emotions than this entire 'romance' show. And don't get me started on that dry, blank 'Let's date!' here. I've seen people giving more expressive reactions on told to 'pass the salt' at dining.
Messy, disjointed, choppy, missing the mark completely. Seen more passion and intensity in bromances that Kdramaland throws once a while than this supposed BL. And angle kiss? In 2023? In an era where To my Star, Semantic error and co exists? Kindly stop half assing, stay out and leave the BL genre to those who can do justice to the craft.
Hi, I have a question. Were Beyond Evil and Devil Judge original story was a BL? They convert the story into straight?…
I don't think the original stories were BL. But I sort of remember writer of one of the shows saying they deliberately added some gay undertones because they wished to. Ji Sung and JinYoung chemistry was sizzling. Besides during photoshoot JS actually in all fun said 'We shooting romance? Come closer then' to JY. That photoshoot was fire. The chemistry got everyone wanting them to well kiss and get their happy ending. (Now that you remind me.. I need season two with them being happy and together :)
Korea made some hardhitting queer movies and quality top actors went all in. (ex. Method). Then shows with homoerotic undertones Devil Judge/Beyond Evil where heavyweight actors themselves were game for BL takes. Shows like To My star, Semantic Error and few rare other didn't shy away from skinship. Yes, the country is conservative with issues of homophobia but the problem when it comes to mainstream 'BL shows' are the actors. Mostly idol actors with 'prude' contracts and their companies (and sometimes their fanbase). Half assing, dead fish kissing, sanitized romance, no romance. The ones like SE, Kissable lips actors are onboard with romancing men. More power (and roles) for actors like them. Others (and their companies) who can't or won't, maybe should find roles that they can do justice to and leave BL roles to the ones who can act true to the nature of the craft. I want your money but I don't want the icky you queers- Nah! Enough now. Hope this show tanks. The audacity of the production house is off the charts. But then again it sounded too good to be true when announced. The men (and their companies) and production houses who feel trauma when two men kiss shouldn't be reading BL scripts, venturing in the BL industry heck even being in the audition room for the BL genre.

And not even a simple friendly hug. Same bed? I guess they'll keep on following covid protocols :)
