The novel is a short tragic story. The ML never asks for FL's name so we never know of it. And in the end of the novel, FL sacrifices herself and ML goes crazy, going around asking people if they have seen his disciple because he never asked for her name.... But don't worry the drama is a confirmed happy ending. The drama in general isn't similar to the novel. They just took the core of the story and added stuff. For example, Adai's hammer doesn't exist in the novel as well. Hope I was clear enough 🩷
