He. is. a FICTIONAL. character. Nobody is advocating for SA or defending those actions IRL. I certainly would…
I never said not to like Way, I also like other morally questionable characters. I just said I don’t understand how people defend him and his actions, and try to justify and give excuses for his actions. You can like a morally questionable character and still be able to recognize that he’s wrong and doesn’t deserve justifying for. There’s no excuse for what he did. No amount of trauma makes it okay to SA another person, in real life and in fiction too.
I’m in shock of how Way is still being defended after today’s episode. He lied, manipulated and forced himself on his best friend of 10 years. While being manipulated you could see how against Babe was with what was happening, how in shock and scared he was. How can people still feel sorry for Way and say that his trauma is an excuse or a reason? Babe, Charlie, Jeff and Pete have the exact same trauma and they aren’t going about hurting others for their own selfish benefit and delusions. I honestly thought they would eliminate this scene in the series, because of PetexWay, but since it happened too we will see in the next episodes what are the consequences of his actions and if they change anything.
On another note I enjoyed today’s episode. I liked seeing Alan’s and Jeff connection develop a little more. And I liked Charlie’s and Babe interactions, their chemistry is chemistrying. But I do agree with other comments that considering the time left in the show, if the purpose isn’t to give them a proper relationship or storyline, they shouldn’t give so much useless screen time to other side characters and they’ve should just concentrated on the ones they hinted at the beginning. It could’ve helped so much with the story of the main couples.
I say it every single episode, but this is a MASTERPIECE. I could feel the angst, the pain, the sadness, and the love Day and Mhok portrayed. Sea and Jimmy deserve so much recognition for their acting here, it’s so so good. And Aof, you’ve done it again, it’s amazing what a good director can do.
That mountain scene was art, wow. I’m still processing and in tears. I love the message and how they bring it to life. This is definitely of the best series I’ve seen in my life, one of those few that make you rethink life and also makes you want to live life to the fullest.
I’ve had this in my list since Only Friends (that’s where I saw ForcexBook for the first time) but since I read so many negative reviews and comments, I put it as low priority to watch. I decided to give it a go, and I’m definitely never going to pay attention to negative reviews again. Like this is so good, I really don’t get all of the negative reviews. We have two amazing green-flags ML that communicate, there’s no toxic relationship, there’s no third-parties, no annoying side characters, and we have a great group of friends (they reminded me of MSP group of friends which I love). I liked that it differences from common office love dramas in which most of them always start with an enemies to lovers dynamic. I also really liked that we see them click since the first chapter, and we get to see their relationship develop from friends to lovers. And Iastly, I liked how Gun is gay from the start. In most of the bl’s we just see two ‘straight’ guys that magically like each other, and while it works for the series, it doesn’t represent reality. Honestly this deserves more hype. Yes sometimes it’s a little cliche and cringey, but almost all of thai dramas are like that. And it’s not over the top, so it doesn’t take away the reality part of the show. And I laughed a lot too. Really happy I decided to watch this, Cher and Gun are the cutest❤️
I really liked that Babe gave a chance to Charlie and listened to him, as opposed to the novel where they broke up for a couple of weeks and Babe didn’t want to listen to Charlie’s pov. It was something I was dreading, so it was a really nice surprise to see it happen this way. From what was shown of the next episode preview, I also liked that it seems that Charlie and Babe will work together against Tony from now on, something that also doesn’t happen in the novel. Pavels acting is 10/10, I hope to see him get more ML parts in the future, he deserves it.
On another note Way needs to move on, I know it’s hard when you’ve been in love for so long. But honestly even though Babe went running to him, it is clear he went as a best friend, not as someone who’s suddenly going to see him in a different light. At this point is just dragging on his suffering when they can be building up more on Pete and Way, or other side characters.
This hands down will go as the best bl series of 2023 (for me), and it’s not even finished yet. I’m in awe of the acting, the chemistry, the plot, the script, the production, the romance, the characters, just everything. This series is a masterpiece. And I like that there’s no annoying side characters ruining it and filling the screen time with unnecessary scenes. We have been able to understand both Mhok and Day, and see their relationship unfold naturally. They’re the greenest flags, and wow Mhok is every hopeless romantic dream partner hahaha. I loved seeing Day’s romantic side in this episode, their boyfriend era is the cutest. I need a happy ending or I’ll probably have emotional damage lol, that’s how invested I am.
This is so good!!! At first I was a little bit hesitant to watch because I’m watching too many on-air series, but once I started I couldn’t stop. I love how every genre is working together so well. Every episode has been 10/10.
And their chemistry is top tier. I need them to kiss already irl and for the doctor to disappear lol
I say this every week, but this was the best episode. It just keeps getting better and better. I love the little things that Mhok does for Day, he’s the greenest flag. The acting, the plot, the production, the romance, everything is 10/10.
What is the age gap between all the couples in the series ? It seems big for some of them !
In the novel Charlie is around 20-22, Babe is 31. And Alan and Jeff have like a 15 year gap if I’m not mistaken. The other ones I have no idea since it’s not mentioned in the novel and neither in the series yet.
I don’t get the hate for this series. Sometimes people just want to watch a funny, unserious, not that complicated plot and amazing chemistry for a change. Not every series has to be so serious and have lots of action for it to be good. This is a funny and cute series. And OffGun is perfect for this. And I have to say that I was excited when I knew that Neo and Mark would be a couple at first, but honestly I’m liking Aungpao as his pairing here. He’s playing the role so well.
Best episode so far. Everyone slayed in this chapter. See this was the Babe and Charlie that was missing in the episodes before. They needed more screen time and they got it in this episode. I’m also excited to see Alan and Jeff progress in the coming chapters, they’re both interesting characters. Kim is also a very interesting character, I like how he’s not just going with the “flow” of the red team. And he’s actually looking for answers too. And finally we get to see Pete and Way, even though it was just for a few minutes.
Overall pure enjoyment in this chapter, nothing bad to say :)
What do we know about Way except he's been in love with Babe for years and has been mind fucking him for as long…
I was just going to comment the same. We know just about the same info on Way than on Charlie (if you haven’t read the novel obviously). And honestly, even in the novel there isn’t much info on Charlie as an alone character. He doesn’t even know when it’s his own birthday. Yes we get to know some important crucial info about him, and we get to understand him, but it’s further in the plot. So for me this was a refreshing chapter, because even though his character is more focused on his role as Babe’s “boy”, at least they showed advancement in their relationship. And that was for me what was missing in the last chapter, more screen time for them.
