I sometimes wish there was a comment section on Netflix... I just laughed my head off watching Lan Zhan bid farewell to those rabbits in his most serious tone (ep. 8)!
This is my re-watch, I really enjoy this drama.

Stating one's opinion is not forcing one's opinion on someone. This was admittedly a heated discussion, but both sides participated in it with fervour.
As I wrote above, I disagree with the initial comment about SJK. But reading missjb21's comments, she doesn't agree with calling SJK "boring and overrated" either. So I was thinking we're actually in the same boat up to that point.
But I do ask you to read others' comments closely as well before taking offense. Because I didn't mean to offend :)

Let's just stay respectful to each other. I haven't watched this drama yet. Seeing the varied responses in these comments, I'm looking forward to forming my own opinion. I've seen a number of SJK's dramas, and I enjoyed some but others I didn't (not necessarily because of SJK's acting though). I'd still call myself a fan of his ;)
I think that, for the most part, missjb21 sounds reasonable in differentiating between SJK's (or any actor's) performances in various dramas. Nobody can be perfect for everyone all the time.
But I'm with you on disliking op's comment because it's too generalised. SJK really is a talented actor.

Rewatching for the third time because I'm so frustrated with the other dramas I've been watching lately :D (this looks so old-fashioned, I can't do proper emojis here, sorry for hurting your eyes)
I regret to admit that the last episodes were not to my liking (I rewatch anyway), so in order to cover up plotholes (That flute!) and get the ending I like, I've been forced to start making up my own ending... 60,000 words, nowhere near finished... Am I obsessed? :D
