Clean forgot about this one, it was the third drama or so that I watched (which means I didn't know much about kdrama tropes) and I really liked it! Maybe I should rewatch and see if it's aged well. A Cinderella story with a ML who takes his time to come to his senses.
FL's nickname that the ML gave her is so disturbing, could hardly watch it. Just google what the German word means and you'll know what I mean... That was so distracting I could hardly focus on the weird plot. The most disturbing part was when his grandmother started using that nickname too!
I loved his character in The King's Avatar and am searching for a historical/wuxia/... drama with him. So far, I've found Tiger and Crane and will check it out soon. Does anyone have recommendations for me? :)
I'm not that good at remembering faces, but this drama is full people I know - Bai Feng Xi, Bai Feng Jiu (ha, they're definitely related), Hua Mu Lan, Zhi Yuan, Zewu Jun, even that useless prince from WRTW and Tuoba Jun's mother, I can't believe it. Never seen so many people I know in the same drama and I'm sure there are some I haven't spotted!
I agree with you on both points - apparently, we have to thank the censorship for no longer allowing a happy ending…
I don't, sorry. It's just information that I picked up here. I have a theory that it might be linked to the negative stance of Communism against religion in general but that's just my own thoughts.
I was actually searching for a "Healthy Mains’ Relationship" drama and I got this in search. It deserves that…
I agree with you on both points - apparently, we have to thank the censorship for no longer allowing a happy ending in wuxia dramas. In WRTW, I feel they have done a better job than in some of the other recent dramas I've seen. They all try to get around it as much as possible. But in the duel of Jianghu vs. Censors, the censors seem to be ruling the world. At least for now.
That moment when you find out that Yifan of The King's Avatar is the Da Wu of WOH. Still in shock. Amazing. I knew I'd seen that face before, but damn.
Was that deus ex really necessary? Couldn't they have postponed that outcome to the year after or something? Well, it was a fun ride most of the time. The OST is really great. And it was great to see the character development.
"Beacuse they split the last ones which had more than 1 hour. There are no extra episodes or additional scenes."…
I'm trying to ignore those comments as the ending seems to be more open than sad (but it's really hard to read comments without getting spoilers...). I'm currently at ep 29.
"Beacuse they split the last ones which had more than 1 hour. There are no extra episodes or additional scenes." - That was TaianD's answer to a similar question below. I came here wondering about that too.
I definitely agree with you 🙂 But I also can't watch a main (or major supporting) actor in different shows without watching something else in between... I guess I get too much into the spirit of it so I can't let go of the stories and the ships 😅

I really, really like XZ but Ah Yuan's story is so sad I'm getting SLS... Can't cope TT
Btw your profile looks great :)
