I put S1 on hold while S2 was airing and am now considering picking it back up and watching both seasons from scratch. I remember I liked what I saw in S1... Idk why I dropped it really, except that I don't like to watch dramas while they're airing. I just haven't picked it back up so far.
Thanks, this was awesome! Noticed I'm not drawn to red flags at all. Irl I'm for a complete green flag (don't we all have a history). In my fantasies, I might prefer one of those who look like a red flag to most people but really are a green flag ;) (and yes, I added that drama to my PTW list - maybe it'll become the first dorama I like, I haven't been lucky with Japanese dramas so far)
Recently I've been noticing that he sings so many OSTs of drama I watched or am going to watch. Only through this article did I find out that the man who's in every OST is actually Hao Du! I just never made the connection until now. I can't believe it!
"What's your hobby?" "I like going to the military camp to watch soldiers lift heavy stones. Are you interested?" XD There's a silly joke about weight watchers at my fingertips, but I am firmly resisting the temptation...
How is this related to "Wrong Carriage, Right Groom"? I do see some parallels but is it really from the same source material? I watched the 2023 adaptation and thought it was pretty good.
I need a spoiler please before I continue. definitely really irritated that he has a wife. does he have her the…
In case you haven't finished by now - he never consummated the marriage and was forced to marry her. Trying not to give too much of a spoiler, but the wife doesn't get a happy ending.
This one needs better tags to warn people what they're in for.
Well, he didn't slap her. Apart from pushing her against the wall (aren't we used to watching that by now?) and also trampling on her pride, he did some strangling, shot at her, and almost raped her. I was so relieved to see her rediscover her pride.
I came across this article just a few days after finally finishing "Legend of Yunxi", which became my nemesis when I started it around the end of last year. There was not a single compelling character in it (not for me anyways) and I found the storytelling tiring... Anyway, I had set myself the goal of finishing it and managed to achieve this after several lengthy breaks filled with other dramas (some of which I am still watching; started back-to-back due to stress irl). There are a few dramas I have dropped: 2 were too scary (I might be a little sensitive) and 2 were so annoying I just couldn't bear it. But it's weird to leave them unfinished. Sadly, my multiple tasking skills aren't good enough to do much else while watching - after all, I might be missing that one moment that makes the drama worth my while... ;) Before delving into dramaland, I used to be an avid reader and I finished just about every book I started. It became a question of self-discipline during my time as a university student. I once read a novel of several hundred pages which I didn't enjoy for about three quarters of its duration. It took me that long to warm up to the main character; but when I did, I really liked her and the rest of the novel. Sometimes it just takes time. Thanks for this interesting and fun read!
Thanks, anyway 😄

Sound quality is not so good in some places though. I don't know if it's that bad originally.
