I know. I kept on wanting the old 17th to show up and completely take on everyone on the palace. I wanted her to show no mercy

instead they replaced 17th with Susu.

even if you keep pushing through the drama there's bound to be more parts that annoy you. it happened to me lol

that's why eventually I stopped shipping Ye Hua and Bai Qian. We all fall in love with Dijun and Feng Jiu anyway

17th does get her revenge, but it isn't anytime soon. the wait might not be worth it for you. I ended up loving the drama though.

The writers had something going when pei overheard jing Chen and his father talking (about killing pei when JC doesn't need her anymore). I found that more interesting than her hatred for fu Yao. But I haven't seen any follow ups to that storylines

I don't think it wasn't meant in a bad way.

It's the best feeling though, when you missed a few episodes, and you can finally catch up.

woah woah woah lol. Let's not compare. I loved Ru Ge. I like Fu Yao too. Ru Ge was pretty strong considering what she was up against. And she never gave up. Fu Yao is pretty good so far. Would be interesting to put Fu Yao in Flames Daughter and put Ru Ge in Legend. Hmm... wonder what each would do.

at first you're like ok this is good, but it's not until later on that you literally can't put the phone/computer down

darn it! I thought I wasn't gonna take a break from dramas so I could focus on something else, but it's gonna have to wait until Fu Yao is over.

In the drama Fu Yao doesn't seem to care much about love. Like okay, she had feelings for the first guy (I don't even know his name) but when he chose someone else over Fu Yao, she got over him relatively quick. So it seems like love isn't her first priority. It makes her character seems a bit tougher to me. I really don't want to see her jealous. Or head over heels for some guy. I like that she's slowly falling for Wuji, and her only leverage was that he clearly likes her more than she likes him. Atleast at first. So idk where they plan on taking their love story but I guess I'll just have to keep on watching

I'm with you. I love when the male lead gets jealous. Idky. It makes it more interesting for me. But if the female lead is jealous I get upset right along with her, and I start to dislike the guy. If Fu Yao gets jealous, they might lose me.

I agree the chemistry between the leads was really unique. It could've been good. I kept on hoping. Poor character development, bad writing. Had so much potential

Also sometimes I'll watch a random episode that's way ahead. Just to see if there's anything to look forward to

For me that was one of the hardest parts to get past. I even took a long break from it a few times but I'm glad I finished it.

I didn't like the Susu parts so much either. But it gets better. Especially if you like Di Jun and the fox princess. That alone is worth it.

I say just take a break and revisit it in a month or so.

Yeah I agree. I think there should be a balance too. I feel like Wuji has the upper hand in a lot of ways. What has he got to lose. I haven't read the book so idk what's going to happen past ep 16

Yeah Zong Yue and Fu Yao were trying to escape the palace and as they were jumping over the palace wall he got shot by an arrow.( I just hope they don't get caught )

Omg right. Every time I see her I'm ready to skip hahahaha but I can't lie I still watch them.
