i feel like y'all are too harsh on Li Wei just a bit. Yes she's a bit immature and silly in the beginning but that's the point, this drama is focused on how she matures and grows. Also, if BJT's character is supposed to be 20 then it can be assumed (idk if her age is explicitly stated I forgot) that TXW's character is younger, most likely in her late teens, so it makes sense that she doesn't really know anything in the beginning (also it's clear that she was sheltered).

trust and communication are not “trivial”, they are quite literally the pillars of love and marriage. he stopped doing both these things with her and in turn he destroyed the marriage. it’s actually appalling that you watched the scenes of him being evasive and neglecting her emotions and then came to the conclusion that she’s the problem in the relationship. this is the mentality the old people in my conservative asian family have and there’s a reason why we don’t have it anymore.

i’m hoping that if the second couple ends up divorcing it’s not bc of cheating. i know asia is still a little conservative abt divorce but imo i don’t think he needs to cheat for the show to prove that they need to be divorced. it’s evident that he’s been checked out of the marriage for a while and that she’s the only one trying and i think that’s already a reasonable reason to leave.
