The pyscho killer in prison and Dr Yoo’s revenge plot, I feel is anticlimactic. I felt it was a sudden addition…
Yeo-jung's story was very rushed and anti-climactic. It seems like the writers thought, "we have to give him more characterization apart from a lover boy" and boom, that's where his backstory came and was wrapped up in the last 15 mins.
You can criticise this drama for whatever reason you want , except for one: THE ACTING.... from main to the most…
SHK did a phenomenal job. I want to see her in more non-romance drama now. She was able to show off her acting prowess very well in this one, especially in season 2 where she was allowed to show more expressions.
I still think the first part was much more impactful but the overall ending was very well done. They managed to avoid the things I was fearing they would end up doing. Like making it so that Dongeun doesn't exact her revenge after all that buildup. It was spectacular to see how they all destroyed each other. Yeon-Jin's end was poetic justice at it's finest, it seems like she is being bullied in prison. She ended up in the very place she put her victims in.
Kang Hyeongnam ended up being my favorite character after Dongeun, she was absolutely lovely. Ha Doyoung on the other hand ended up being more menacing than I thought. He really killed Jae-Jun in cold blood, damn.
BUT, if I were to nitpick, I would have preferred if they kept Dongeun and Yeo-Jung's relationship ambiguous instead of showing us them lip smashing together LOL. It just felt funny and a bit out of place with the tone of the series. They could have done without the romance altogether, but that's a nitpick on my part and nothing else. Loved the series overall.
Although he looks as youthful as his age,he somehow carries himself with a more oldschool - old Hollywood male…
Well, being pretty doesn't mean that someone can't be mature or manly lol. Lee Do Hyun is pretty, and has a mature vibe. Both can co-exist at the same time.
Characters are one of the most important part of any drama for me. None of the characters were likeable here, which is why I couldn't enjoy this one at all.
The poster with Dong-Eun and the lady is so cute. Their solidarity was the cutest thing to watch. I am also so excited to see Dong Eun and Yeo Jung working together. The poster with them looks so tender. Yeo Jung touching her so tenderly and Dong Eun reciprocating it back by holding his hand, it looks so soft.
As an ace person, I appreciate the fact there are dramas out there that doesn't have romance in them, lol. Not every drama needs to have romance anyways. This one is more like a turn your brain off and enjoy type. It's very over the top, but I think it was still really enjoyable. Nothing too spectacular, but I can enjoy a okayish drama once in a while.
I actually stay away from romance and stranger is my favorite drama of all time but this drama is no where close…
Lmfao, true that this one does have quite a lot of arse pulls, and has nowhere near the stellar writing stranger has, but I think the performances of the actors and the thriller aspects really carried this for me.
Another day, and another drama with unnecessary romance/flirting within the colleagues which i didn't like one bit. Is it too much to ask for a more professional relationship between a male and female character?
Ya'll, its going to be on netflix from the 11th of April! Please go and watch it there, we need more non-romantic drama like this with solid plot and suspense, please. The director needs to know what a gem this is. It will urge directors to bring in more dramas with no romance in it.
She sat on for 5 years and did nothing when her group was being dragged to the hell and back just to protect herself.…
Hard disagree. Someone who is in their right mind wouldn't commit the shit she did. She also made it possible for so many people's career and talent go to waste. I wouldn't wish for anything bad nor anything good for her.
I am having a hard time believing that Yeong Sook basically becomes invincible. If her future self keeps on providing her with information, she will continue to kill people. I will just pretend that the first one is the true ending. It would have been amazing if Seo Yeon's character was a bit more smarter. I disagree with the people saying, "her stupid decisions made it entertaining". It certainly did not for me.
Screenwriter Lee Soo Yeon strikes again with her brilliant writing abilities. Stranger's 1st season was absolutely brilliant in it's writing department including every other criteria that is required for a good drama. This season was more on the inside political stuff and more character based compared to season 1. We saw more of the psychological and internal fights of the characters and the prosecution and police. At first glance S2 may seem underwhelming compared to S1 but, if you watch it closely and analyze the characters psychological states, this actually gives you space to immerse in to their world as you watch on.
But I felt like the story of the Hanjo group, the prosecution, the police, combined together felt like way too many miscellaneous stuff was taking place until it took form. As usual the cast did a brilliant job, you can't point out a single actor for lacking or much less bad acting. Bae Doona and Jo Seung Woo have one of the best chemistry a lead actress and actor could have.
