I am honestly very surprised to see how low a rating this has. This is great, and I absolutely loved it. Then again, I am a sucker for anti-heroes. I just don't find the goody-two-shoes type of hero compelling anymore since it's been done again and again for years. Anti-heroes feel much more refreshing.
Honestly, I wish more Korean dramas would focus on male and female comradeship like this. I am SO glad this didn't turn into a romance and all the leads had a very cute friendship until the very end. To be honest, I'm tired of romance. I just can't stress enough how not having romance elevates this series so much more.
It's been 5 years, but I am still expecting a season 2! I really want to see more of this trio.
First episode was a complete snooze fest that I considered dropping this drama but I forced myself to watch the…
Kdramas are wayyy too oversaturated with romance. So I am glad to hear the romance isn't too heavy here. It would be rather nice if we had more camaraderie between men and women.
Tip for new drama fans (and myself): Don't ever let the reviews and comments prevent you from watching a show/movie.…
Well, that's common sense, to be honest. Every individual has a different preference towards everything, so it's understandable if it doesn't always align with our own. I realized this site really doesn't like it when dramas don't have romance, so I almost never pay them any heed.
I would have started this if it weren't for the romance tag, lol. I wonder how overarching the romance is in the plot. Can someone tell me? I really don't like romance sub-plots.
I don't why people hate mostly on the fl like every single time like I watch different drama of different actress…
I remember people making fun of Lee Minho's and Cha Eunwoo's acting as well for a while lol. It depends on the actor themselves and not their gender. But even then I don't agree with bullying anyone, criticism is fine, but bullying definitely is not.
Molly's story was actually so sad. This is an amazing movie, I recommend this to everyone, the rating does not do this justice at all. The pressure and expectation portrayed here is so real and raw. This really resonates with me so much, because this is so prevalent and normalized in Asian culture. It's deemed to be ok to push your children to the brink of being suicidal if it's for the sake of studies and education. It's appalling, but true.
I genuinely wanted the long haired girl and nobleman to survive, they were both so freaking charismatic. I wanted the two of them against the MC in part 2, but alas they both died. I feel like those two were a missed potential, they could have been a very good match against Ja Yun in part 2.
why is everyone so pissed at romantic angle lol. its not like it overshadowed the main plot or anything.why can't…
The kdrama scene is already oversaturated with romance, you really can't blame people for not liking when romance is shoehorned into everything lol. I never liked Do Young with Dongeun either, Joo Yeo Jung was very cute, I don't mind it, but this drama could have easily done without the romance. At least this one avoided my absolute pet peeve of all in revenge dramas -- sleeping with the bully's husband.
everything from the plot to casting to ending was so satisfying! if this gotten a sad ending i feel like it wouldve…
Just my opinion, but I do think the romance felt very out of place. Yeo jung just felt like a lover boy with a few bits and pieces of his past sprinkled around. I am not completely opposed to it, but making it a bit more ambiguous would have been better. Romantic love is also not the only type of love, the fact hyeongnam, the old land lady and her friend from the factory exists shows that she is indeed loved even apart from yeo jung.
