First of all, this was an AMAZING drama. It was easy to watch and was well paced. All the actors did a phenomenal…
"Seok Yoon who was a cutie and LISTENED to Jong Woo"
Exactly.
Jung Woo had better chemistry with Seok Yoon compared to his girlfriend who constantly pushed off his concerns and blamed him fr, lmfao. At least he listened to Jung Woo and didn't push off his concerns. He was such a sweet bean :'-)
How long does it take for the female lead's character to improve? Or is she like this the whole time? She is supposed to be a prosecutor who graduated from her law school at the TOP of her class, but she only ever takes decisions based on emotions and ends up ruining things. Imma drop this if that's the case.
Do yourself a favor, and don't be influenced by the comments on crime dramas on MDL. Most of the time, people will leave negative comments and ratings just because something doesn't have romance. Took me a while to understand that.
I was going through a post stranger withdrawal syndrome. Not even series' with 8.5+ ratings could satisfy me, but this drama, even though quite different from stranger, was able to satiate my thirst. It's a shame that the international kdrama community slept on this drama.
The ost in this drama is so out of place, some of the songs played in some scenes, which would otherwise be impactful, just becomes funny. You first really need to get used to that before you can fully enjoy it. At some point, I think I need to watch it by muting it because the story seems worth it.
I am not entirely sure why TUNNEL is so highly acclaimed, even though it has so many plot holes, inconsistencies and plot conveniences. TUNNEL does not come anywhere near the writing of SIGNAL. Signal had more consistent writing and characters, and the way the characters warm up to each other is much more natural, even though I am not even a big fan of the show, but there is no denying that Signal has better writing.
One of my issues with Tunnel is how it tries so hard for the audience to sympathize with the characters, bringing in their pasts and sad elements in when we barely know them enough to feel for them, although I am not sure if it's just how the characters are or the actors, none of the characters had much chemistry with each other, because of which many of the scenes just came out awkward. Many people are saying how the characters drove the show for them when they did the opposite for me. At least they had their intellect going on for them to make up for the fact they weren't much likable, that also goes down the drain in the last half of the show when they begin doing stupidly questionable things just to bring in a more dramatic effect. Also missing some glaringly obvious hints and evidence and being adamant of their claims.
Tunnel is a series that is in my opinion, extremely overhyped. It has its moments, but that's about it.
The happy part really depends on the way you personally interpret a 'happy ending'. It is shown that Lee Jae Han finally breaks the loop and survives, but we don't see the trio reuniting, it ends just right before they were on their way to meet him.
She looks so much prettier with her original lips. In team ten I was starting to get worried for her lips. I love her as an actress as well, her expressions are so good.
Compared to the first season which had tight writing, this season had so many choppy writing scenarios. It was apparent how rushed this season was. I wonder what happened, they also never conclude the main plot and just leave more hints with no sight of a 3rd season. This was a mess, but the teamwork and character chemistry kept me watching this until the end. It would be a shame if this is how this legendary series dies, with an awful cliffhanger ending.
OCN needs to give this a 3rd season, this is one of their more popular shows.
This was fairly good, the writing was definitely choppy at times, things happening without much logic or ground, the characters having contradicting moral grounds and doing confusing things. The pacing was kind of weird, but the last few episodes tied up the loose ends fairly well. Overall an enjoyable ride, not the best out there, but serves its purpose. It was also kind of weird how the writers forced in the romance aspects, it would have been way better if the male and female lead had more of a professional relationship, you just don't go from hating someone to 360 degrees and have feelings for them and flirt with them, in the middle of trying to uncover huge corruptions. People really don't think about romance in dire situations like that, but I suppose most dramas need to have some kind of romance to pull in certain viewers. I am glad more writers are ditching that in their writings. It overall ruins the atmosphere, and tone of the series.
and people are actually defending her. even though the reason the T-ara girls suffered so much and their whole careers in the entertainment industry was ruined. yet again the kpop community has disappointed me with their attitudes and lengths they will go to protect their "idols".
It's funny to me that people keep coming on here to talk about the bullying and blame her for breaking up T-ara…
She sat on for 5 years and did nothing when her group was being dragged to the hell and back just to protect herself. She ruined the careers of multiple people just for her own selfish gains. You can be the "bigger" person all you want, but you can't blame people for being salty for the things she has done. It's up to others if they truly want to forgive her or not.
Also, the only reason she admitted to doing "some" of the things is because people were speaking up against her bad deeds, she could no longer deny those claims. If no one bought it up, she never would have spoken up. She is a bad person though and through.
Definitely one of the more hidden gems out there. From episode 5-8 it might have been a little slow, with more exposition time, but afterward, it really picks up the pace and never stops. The main characters are mostly morally ambiguous, some of the things they do are highly questionable, but they still have a sturdy sense of justice. They did go to any lengths to serve justice.
If you can endure the exposition time, this is a splendid show. The music in this was amazing too, the way it was used timely to temp up certain scenes.
