This drama is clearly going for the classic 2000s/2010s yaoi tropes which inevitably will have some questionable themes, so I don’t care about it being toxic.
My biggest issue with this show is the constant slow-mos with music that easily could’ve been replaced with meaningful dialogue or literally anything else. For me, it completely removes me from the scene and feels like I’m watching a sappy music video instead. I had the same issue with ABO Desire, so maybe this is just common in Chinese dramas and I’m not aware of it.
In my opinion, the actors and their chemistry are saving this show, everything else is kind of meh. I don’t think this show was trying to be some groundbreaking masterpiece, so it’s not that big of an issue.
Lol let’s be real, when this show was airing some people were nitpicking the hell out of it just because they don’t like Zee and Nunew.
I don’t think this show is perfect and I actually found it boring near the end, but a lot of “criticisms” about it at the time were people just angry with the main couple. It’s another case of KinnPorsche where people were ridiculously angry at the main couple having more screen time because they don’t understand the concept of SIDE characters.
If I could improve the show, it would be to either drop some of the plots or have more episodes. This story was so complex with so many characters that inevitably having only 14 episodes would leave some plots feeling rushed or unfinished.
I am hoping they ramp up the mystery aspect and start revealing a bit more to hook me. I would hate for them to…
This is my only concern about the series. So far I’m enjoying the pacing, but I feel like if they don’t do a big reveal in the next 2 episodes, it’s gonna be rough having to squeeze everything in at the end.
I wish I could have patience and wait a few weeks to binge this show, but I can’t 😆 Episode 5 felt short but was good. We’re almost at the halfway point, so I’m excited for things to start picking up! I have soooo many questions about Klao and what happened, I need to know lol.

Agree. Some parts I think are funny, but most of it feels a bit over the top. I think it fits the context of the show because it’s outlandish to travel back in time, but I guess overly-comedic stuff just isn’t my cup of tea. Besides that, I’m enjoying this show so far.
8 episodes is kind of short but it might be a good thing if that’s all the story needs. I hate when a BL drags at the end with random scenes or misunderstandings just to hit the 12 episode mark.
