I wasn't expecting so many funny moments. LOL The wait for the last two episodes was, truly, rewarded. SeOn flipping on his romance switch... I just can't with him >.< xD <3
Back for my 4th re-watch! A song from the OST popped up on my playlist last night and it made me miss Zhi Zhi, JiaXu ge, and their sweet relationship... So much.
Ignore the ones coming in to bash the show and give it 1star ratings. Especially those who have pre-judged it without even giving it a chance or watching barely any of it. Many do this intentionally, to try and lower the rating. They come in waves practically parroting each other's comments. Fortunately, MDL goes by Verified when it comes to ratings.
1, They either hate the ML or the FL (Both of them are wonderful actors, btw) 2. Or, they can't stand the idea of having feelings for a sibling's friend. That's their personal issue, and they shouldn't be projecting it on others. 3. Or lastly, a five year age gap is the worst thing in the world. (Yeah, I know... My husband and I are probably doomed because of our age difference xD )
Those who give up on it saying that it's boring, are really missing out on something very heartwarming. There is nothing weird nor boring about this drama. Some just don't have the attention span, or interest to take in back stories or for slice of life dramas. One of my children is like that, so it's completely understandable.
If after watching the drama, one finds it not to their taste, I can totally appreciate that... Since everyone has different tastes. But just because some loudly proclaim that it is boring or weird, doesn't make it so.
SO, if you haven't had the chance to sit down to watch it yet, don't be afraid to give it a try.
- You will laugh - You will cry - You will get second hand embarrassment - You will get frustrated - You will be happy

I can appreciate them both for what they are. Although I'm enjoying Family By Choice very much, I do agree that Go Ahead has much more... meat on the bones. It tells the story of the three innocents with so much depth and caring. <3
I wouldn't call it a love triangle, as it was 100% one-sided. Her friend likes her, secretly, for a long time, as more than a friend. However, the moment he confesses, she shuts him down immediately.

The times have definitely changed a bit since I was in HS. But, it seemed the trend at my school was starting Kindergarten at 5-5 1/2. Most of my friends were within a few months of my age. I guess we'd be considered old now for graduating at 18. xD (edit: I turned 18 in January my senior year)

I'm not sure about Japan either. But it does seem that in most of the dramas I've seen, they do tend to be age 19/20 entering their freshmen year in college.
However, here in the US, a senior in HS* will start at age 17/18 depending on when their birthday is, and graduate HS at 18/19. So IF their birthday lines up, and they enter college immediately after graduating, it is possible to be 18 years old, at least for a little while, as a Freshman in College. This is the common average. Of course, in the event of early advancement or late graduation, there will be younger & older exceptions.
*High School can be either 3 or 4 years, but it always ends in the 12th grade. Unless things have changed drastically in the last 10 years LOL
I'll take it, and be happy about the courage and efforts by everyone involved.
