It's becoming even better after every episode !

I really didn't expected it to be this interesting and this good before starting it. They have developed the shamanism theme in this drama so well. The best I have seen so far. And the production is flawless. The CGIs for that fight against the faceless ghosts were perfect, on par with a high budget film. I was so impressed considering I'm often disappointed by special effects in Korean dramas. I am usually annoyed by the mix of different genres but here they have balanced it so well. The comedic parts don't feel annoying at all or misplaced in the middle of the fantasy intrigue, they come at the right moment, just like the romantic arc. And of course there is the cast. Not a single one of the actors feels lacking here, all the contrary, they all deserve praises. I have been head over heels for Choo Young Woo and Kim Mi Kyung for a long time now, so I'm delighted by their performances here, but all the others actors are brilliant too. Cho Yi Hyun is on point in every scene, Cha Kang Yoon and Choo Ja Hyun are good revelations for me, Yoon Byung Hee, that could be playing an annoying stereotype character, is perfect in his role, and even others actors playing secondary roles are really enjoyable here.

I'm really happy to be watching this one. It's been a while since I have been so satisfied by a drama. I hope it will stay like this until the end.

why? it's literally part of nature, and there's nothing wrong, as long as a person is a decent human being, live…
Ah here it is, the fascism ! Of course, ones cannot be educated unless he fights the brown plague in every little aspects of our lives. I'm indeed the one that can't distinguish between facts and emotions, I really need to educate myself. Thank you, o great enlightened one. 😅

My point is still the same. You assume things based on your own understandings of others comments. Your assumptions are almost insulting towards me, considering you don't know anything about me and my life. Almost only, because not knowing you I really don't care what you can think about me and think you understood from my comments. I'm just trying, hopelessly, to make you understand that you can't just defame or slander people however you please just because they don't think like you do.

Clearly hopeless as we disagree on your first point. You claim (yes, it's not an objective fact for me, it's your claim and your opinion) that the comment was transphobic. I don't agree. Thus my comment after on the diffamation and slander and my next comments in response to WolfSoul comments. I will use a very stupid but easy comparison. Even though I'm sure that this comparison will not please you. If the subject was an actor that wants to play a vegetarian role, and someone would wrote as a comment "lets just stop with all of that", would that means he hates vegetarians, or vegetables ? Maybe he is just tired of seeing this subject on screen. That's his right. In any case, he didn't wrote, "exterminate the vegetarians" or "burn all vegetables". In that case, yes, you could clearly call him out for being hateful or vegephobic. Thus, wether you agree or not, you can't just slander or defame him because he has a different opinion than you of the subject.

But I guess we clearly can't agree because I can't stand people like you that think so highly of themselves that they always tell others to educate themselves on subjects people just don't agree with them. For me it shows how narrow-minded and stupid someone can be. I come from a background where real tolerance is at the core of our education, even when people think something we strongly disagree with, but obviously that's not your case as it seems that tolerance and understanding only is for people that agree with you.

Exactly my point before. From the start, because someone didn't agree with you, you assume they need to be educated on this subject. I never expressed any clear opinion nor shown my knowledge on this subject. So what do you know ? From the beginning my only point is that you can't slander or defame someone just because they expressed a different opinion. People who shoot "xxxphobic" all the time to anyone that express a different opinion are actually very harmful to the real people who suffer from direct homophobia or transphobia, by diminishing the importance of these words.
So no, I do not agree. By assuming others opinions are uneducated or wrong just because they are different you are not being respectful and open to discussion, contrary to what you seem to believe. In each of your comments you clearly assume things and don't try to understand the other party, just imposing your opinion on others.

Assuming someone isn't "educated" just because they can have different opinions or beliefs as you is the whole issue here. You don't own the thruth. That's why it's impossible to have a good and respectful debate or exchange with people like you. You belittle people from the start. You should stay in your ivory tower if you can't stand differences in opinions.

Your assumptions couldn't be more wrong, but the fact that you use two times "educate yourself" in your comment just tells me everything I need to know about you. ^^

Post reported as offensive. It's not because someone doesn't think like you that you can slander them. Calling someone "homophobic" and "transphobic" when they never insulted someone for being homosexual or transexual is just slander. You pretend to fight hate by being hateful towards others, how does that help ? You should clearly reflect on yourself before insulting and defaming people publicly.

Simply because the author, lo_ve, knew it would grab attention, being a polemical subject, and create a lot of traffic for her article.

Title Revolver
Normally I would agree, but in this case the movie also has low ratings on IMDb (5.4/10) and Letterboxd (2.7/5),…
Interesting.

For all that matters, I don't think IMDb or Letterboxd (which I didn't know before your comment) should be more trustworthy than MDL, even if their users are more representative of the general population. I checked Letterboxd, for some movies I have the same opinion of the majority of those who rated them, and for some others I have the total opposite opinion. I also checked some others critically awarded movies and they also got low ratings both here and on these websites, so in the end, as always, I just trust my own judgement.

Not a masterpiece from the beginning, there is plenty of room for improvement, but there is still something that hooked me here I guess. Characters that confess and say things straightforwardly from the first episode ? Yes, please ! A couple that wants a normal romance and not a fairytale ? Yes, please ! A story that doesn't start from misunderstandings and miscommunication ? Yes, please ! A mature romance between men and not (fake) teenagers ? Yes, please ! I think there is something here, too many good things we don't see often enough. It's not perfect but I'm surprisingly looking forward to the next episodes.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, he's definitely attractive but I'm struggling to see him in a school uniform.…
I'm not struggling, I just don't believe it at all haha. He looks nothing like an high schooler, I have write it multiple time even before it started. And after the last mature roles he portrayed before this one it's even more impossible for me to see him as one. ^^

I like it a lot, but since the beginning, the fact that Gyeon Woo don't recognise Seong Ah when she is dressed as a shaman just because she wears a transparent (!) veil is really unrealistic (without mentioning her voice...). For people this close, it's impossible not to notice. But well, if everything else is good, it can pass. I do like that the confrontation will happen next week. Considering it's a 12 episodes drama, it would have been annoying if that had been dragged on too long.
I am a fan since his debut so I have long been enchanted by his handsomeness, but the shots on Young Woo are really superb ins this drama, he is mesmerising.

Well, your answer exactly highlight my point. You are not a gay man living in Korea. I'm talking about what I know and experienced myself. Your truth isn't the "simple truth", it's only your personal and subjective opinion, things are much more complex than your reductive views and hateful condemnations.

"SK homophobia is no joke, trust me." At some point all the "Korea homophobia bashing" because their culture and society are not the way you want must stop. Nobody will kill you for being homosexual in South Korea. I lived there, I have family in friends there, I know what I'm talking about. So it's not because homosexuality is not welcomed with open arms by everybody that it's a hell either. That doesn't mean it's easy for everyone, for sure, but I'm really annoyed but the constant comments like yours here. When it comes from people that seem to not have real experience of living in South Korea as a gay man, that's the joke to me.

Could the same show feel both revolutionary and incredibly silly at the same time? Yes. This series is the proof. Why…
Every single word.

Also, Yeom Min Hyeok has the sex appeal of a hermit crab while Choi Jae Hyeok is the epitome of sex appeal (I'd prefer watch him do things actually to be honest ^^).

The last two episodes were a proper fall down, even the bold intimate scene and the sexy body and glare of Choi Jae Hyeok can't save that unfortunately. I'm just looking forward to him in a new role now.

Much better than what I expected. And much more deep and thoughtful despite the funny (and welcomed) parts too. I'm glad. By the end of episode 2 I'm hooked. To be honest, I still can't really see Choo Young Woo as a realistic high schooler, the man is too charismatic, sexy and has portrayed too more mature characters for that, at least for me, so I'm more watching this thinking he is a college student, despite the high school set up. But aside that, his acting is perfect for me. And for all the cast too.
