I noticed this too. The series is over and not a single IG post was made. I don't follow their account, but I…
I'm really disappointed by YNK. They totally failed him on this one. And it was his first drama so there is no turning back now.
There was nothing, anywhere, from them during the airing and after the drama ended. Sun did such a good job for his first role on screen but they totally missed and ruined this moment by doing absolutely nothing. I'm really sorry for him.
As a rookie actor he needs all the exposure he can during a time like this, especially with all the competition. Heavenly, the production company, was the only one promoting the drama in the end.
I really don't understand. Especially because they did something when he was attending a film festival with director Hwang Da Seul and his co-stars Kim Nu Rim and Jang Yeon Woo last summer, when he wasn't known yet, so that doesn't make sense that they totally ignored the drama after. And also because in the same time they did promote the other actors they manage, even one that, objectively, will never get main roles...
I also hope he receives better management and promotion next, but in any case this moment is lost, so that really makes me angry because Sun as a great talent and a big potential, I'm sure he can have an interesting career as an actor.
Such a boring and reheated plot for a sageuk. A prince that hides his identity as a commoner, a cross-dressing female character (they really don't want to give up with that unrealistic and stupid trope...). That's disappointing, but I guess some people like this kind of cliché stories where evertything is predictable.
I hope that the fact that he hasn't been active anywhere in the last couple of months is the sign that he is working on a new project. We definitely need to see him again in more dramas or movies.
Post reported for slander and defamation, which can be subject to legal action too.
Freedom of expression is a fundamental right, within the limits of respect for the moral integrity of individuals, so there is a difference between expressing an opinion and slander or defamation that are criminal offenses.
You can dislike whoever you want for whatever reasons you want too, but publicly slandering someone as being homophobic just because he removed some posts about a flop drama from a social media is slander. You have no evidence of what you claim, it is just your interpretation of some random facts that can, and are, interpreted very differently by other people.
So don't play the victim card. Nobody says you can't have and express your personal opinion. Just that you cannot just write anything you want when it comes to slandering someone.
His little brother Cha Jung Woo (he changed his last name for his stage name) will make his acting debut next year ! And in a BL drama too. ^^ He is as handsome as his older brother and that would be awesome to see him and Young Woo in a project together in the future. https://www.instagram.com/enter_just/p/DCGXZmuykAf/
I agree. I have complained about this several times. I have almost missed out on some really good dramas because…
I understand, if I only saw that trailer and didn't know better about the drama, I would maybe not want to watch it at all, which would be a big miss unfortunately. But I think their strategy is the opposite, because people like us are a minority. The era of long, epic and serious sageuk is long gone, the costs of production are too big now compared to what they used to earn with it before, and I think the genre is less appealing for the mass now. So by doing that, I guess they hope people will think it's a light rom-com story and give it a try and even if it's not what they expected, maybe they will be hooked by the quality of the drama.
trailer doesn't seem that comical to me, it's misleadingy the main trailer will surely be more serious, you don't…
Yes I know, we have already seen that, but that's why I don't understand why they do a trailer like this to promote the drama when it's definitely not the tone of the story. I don't get this promotion strategy.
Lee Sun is really the revelation of this drama for me. His crying face is so beautiful ! And he really is like a ray of sunshine every time he smiles. I'm really looking forward to his acting career and can't wait for his next project.
I still think the execution of this drama is lacking on some aspects and that some things didn't worked (at least for me) because they were not properly handled in the story development, but overall the story and the characters are interesting, there is a strong meaning behind it, with good morals, and it's a great drama.
This is just slander and defamation. Which may be subject to legal action. People really need to stop with these baseless accusations. Most actors don't talk or promote their first project, making conclusions about him just because in his case it was a BL is totally crazy. People like you really need some mental checkup.
Chang Wook delivering a masterclass on acting again with this role. Amazing ! All the acting is very good, but the way he portrays Yoon Gil Ho is particularly impressive.
It isn't my favourite genre or kind of story, so I wasn't sure what to expect with this drama, but the two first episodes were really good and interesting even though it isn't that original, so I'm really looking forward to the next ones.
Not having watched the original I'm not biased by it, but it's clear that it's a Thai story remake, because it's very cliché just from the first episode. Not that bad though, I will watch the next episodes with interest.
Production qualities of Japanese BL dramas are nothing new, and even expected now considering the number of beautiful dramas we have seen over the years. They are truly the masters of the genre. So the quality of this one isn't surprising. But there is nothing else to it, I found that first episode plain boring and totally lacking originality.
Well, if you need to write or read an essay to make a story understandable for all, that's proof that there is…
The characters are complex and thus those who criticise the drama are wrong because they just don't understand the characters, the story or the writing well, unlike you. This is very condescending.
Again, if a drama needs essays to make it understandable to everyone, the writing and story/characters developments are to blame. A story, even complex, must be understood by the majority of people, because everything must be explain at some point and in some way in the story. It might be subtle, it might need to rewatch it several times to notice it, but it must be there. That's why I wrote that it will depends on the last two episodes as well.
What you think you understand might be wrong too because you are biased on the subject it depicts. Based on all the comments here, the opinions are really divided, nobody is right or wrong, but at least some people don't argue that their opinion is better just because others don't understand the drama, like you do. There is a difference between expressing a personal opinion and writing that yours is right and better than the others because you think you understand something better than others.
Yu Shi received the "Excellent Character Portrayal of the Year" award at the Weibo TV and Internet Video Summit 2024 for his role as Batay in "To The Wonder".

Sun's crying face in "Let Free the Curse of Taekwondo" is simply beautiful. And every time he smiles, it is like the sun is rising around him.
I'm looking forward to his next project.
