Omg! I watched episode 4 of “Marry You” and in the preview of the next episode he appears
Thanks for informing us about it ! It's no surprise that YNK Entertainment didn't promoted him unfortunately, but I'm surprised he hasn't mentioned it yet himself. Maybe when the episode is aired.
One thing for sure, he is quite honest about what he thinks and feels. That's nothing new for people following him since many years and having read his interviews through his carrer, and that's also why he is so popular and appreciated as an actor. A Disney prince ? No, Chang Wook is a king, no matter what.
looking for smth well written to watch so anyone care to share some objective opinion about this drama.
Very good acting, interesting first part (the four first episodes) and characters, but from episode 5 the story development was disappointing for me and the ending quite dull. But it isn't a genre I particularly like usually so it might comes from this too. I think "The Worst of Evil" was better overall. But when it comes to Chang Wook, he was awesome in both roles.
U contradict yourself. U say u can be catholic and homosexual, but than say that Bible doesnt support this kind…
We can't agree. You relativise everything, and that's the problem. You put on the same level a priest using the holy book of his religion and a BL drama production company using quotes of that same book. It's like putting the diagnostic of a doctor on the same level of the one from the local pharmacist... Good for you, but such relativism is not for me.
However, you are absolutely wrong regarding your last point. Catholics do not believe the Bible was written by God. And it's just confirm my initial comment. People talking about something they don't really know are bound to express total nonsenses. Maybe your understanding of "Christians" comes from Protestants churches and the way they practise they religion and view the Bible, but don't go generalised what "Christians" are through your biased views on some protestants Christians. They are not representative of Christianity, and certaintly not representative of what Catholics and Orthodoxs believe.

I don't see how all your ranting about the Bible change what I wrote about citations being used out of context. Whatever the book, whatever you stance on it, I think it is wrong to use a citation out of its original context just to serve a different narrative. I didn't wrote that the Bible was a book written by God and descended from Heavens neither. Of course it is a compilation of different writings from different authors that were more or less witness of what they wrote. The Bible is a testimony. But it doesn't change the fact that these citations, used as they are in this trailer, are a total nonsense. But to be honest, it's just a Thai BL drama so it isn't surprising.

No, you think I contradict myself because you don't have the same understanding of all that, that's it. I wrote that using citations of the Bible totally out of context to support a narrative (here homosexual sexual relationship) is wrong. If it was only about love, platonic, there wouldn't be any problem, but the trailer explicitly indicate that it's not about a platonic relationship. If you really have thoroughly read the Bible, you should know that any sexual relationship that isn't for giving life is strongly condemn. My comment would have been the same if it was about anal sexual relationship between a man and a woman. Again, my comment isn't against homosexuality, it's about using citations out of context to support a narrative, when these citations, put in their original context, have a totally different meaning and purpose.
The Bible isn't a person, so wording it like this is wrong, but homosexual sexual relationships, just like any relationship that isn't meant to procreate and give live, is strongly condemn in the Bible. I wrote that using citations of the Bible totally out of context to support a narrative is wrong, it's not the subject of the drama in itself.
They used the quotes from Bible about Love. Any and all love. Hope this helps.
If only it was about that, but I'm sure the relationship will not be platonic in the TV series, it shows in the trailer, so it's not just about love, that's the thing.
What a load of crap just from the trailer. We can wait to get an smart BL drama about religion and homosexuality. Putting citations of the Bible totally out of context to support a narrative is really despicable. It's really insulting. And it just shows how far the people doing this are from the Catholic faith. They don't know or understand it at all. You can be catholic and homosexual, but trying to use the Bible to justify homosexuality is a total nonsense.
I submitted the creation of his page two weeks ago, a much more detailed description than what we got here (even his details like his real name or is birthday are not indicated here... seriously !), but no, my edit was totally ignored and, as always, MDL staff just accepted any lame edit that isn't even complete or accurate. This website is really becoming a joke compared to a few years ago. That's very disappointing.
After reading there were four different directors for this drama I understood why I felt like some episodes were really different from the others, and why the quality seemed inconsistent to me.
It's not a bad drama, I enjoyed watching most of it, but the inconsistency I pointed out just before bugged me a little, and I thought it was overall quite cliché, the characters and story development, everything was mostly predictable. Considering the hype I saw around it I expected something more original. There is some depth in it, and Nam Yoon Su did a good job overall, but I guess it's not my type of story.
It's interesting but I think it isn't a very good "drama special" episode. The subject deserves a proper drama format to be well told in my opinion, here it's too rushed, the childhood and friendship relationship are not used very well and deepened enough, and they made it overly sentimental for me. I think Nam Da Reum did a good job, but Tang Jun Sang wasn't fit for this role. I liked him in other dramas, but here is acting was quite bad.
honestly, both of these guilty pleasure tropes of mine LOL. and to be fair, at least for women disguising themselves…
I can understand that it appeals to some people, and the historical accuracy of the phenomenon isn't the problem for that indeed, even for men transvestite as women. But as you pointed it, it's totally unrealistic the way it is done in films or TV series in general, because they don't want to totally give up the feminine traits of the actresses for the purpose of the characters, that's why it's one of the tropes I really hate the most in historical productions.
If it was done toroughly and in a good way in any sageuk I would love it actually, but I doubt it will happen some day with Korean actors.
The whole premise looks like pure nonsense. As a history student I will watch it just to take notes on the non-realistic…
Well, it's rare to find a sageuk that is truly realistic anyway. For this one I still can't tell when, during Joseon Dynasty, it is supposed to takes place exactly.

Anyway, looking forward to his acting debut.
