Well, as most remakes of a story already perfectly portrayed, they should have abstained from doing this one. If it wasn't for Chang Wook's performance, this would be really ridiculous in my opinion.
I had a lot of ho-hmm moments in this show throughout the 12 episodes, where I was thinking “now where have…
I totally agree with you, except that for me "Gangnam B-Side" was much better than this one. I also rated "The Manipulated" generously with a 7,5, and that's only because of Chang Wook performance, otherwise I wouldn't have watch it till the end and bother rating it.
In real life, many couples have height difference. It's not always a choice who you are attracted to. I had 32…
Who talked about "in real life" ? I expressed my personal opinion about the pairing here, no need to overreact like that by sharing your personal life that nobody asked you about. People are way too much. And I'm free to find weird or not whatever I want. Who are you tell me what I should think ? People here...
well i would im a tall girl if i fell in love with short men am i supposed to stop my feelings tf
Nobody wrote to you should stop your feelings... I just expressed a personal opinion about the pairing here, not a general truth about height difference in couples... People are really overreacting here, it doesn't change.
I mean in the real world you'll find all sorts of heigh differences. So what? Short men should be limited to short…
Did I wrote that "all sorts of heigh differences" are forbidden ? That "short men should be limited to short men, and tall men to tall men" ? No, I just expressed my personal opinion about the pairing here, so get a grip and move on. I forgot how people make a fuss for nothing here.
No, I wrote "it's too much here", so don't twist my words or my thoughts, I never wrote that a height difference is too weird all the time. My God, I forgot that it's forbidden to express a personal opinion that isn't shared by the majority here.
The actors together look so weird to me. Individually they are both handsome and charming men, but the height difference between them is putting me off, it's too much here. No man wants to hurt his neck every time he speaks to or wants to kiss his lover, nor wants to jump to reach his lover's face. But yes, it's a BL so women find that "cute". The rest is good, but that's too weird.
Yushin and Chunchu! The names of some characters trigger me, side effect of having watched Queen Seon Deok. Anyways…
I think we won't have a very long format like we used to enjoy unfortunately, but for the rest, yes, I hope it will be an epic (and serious) sageuk like before.
With Jang Hyuk, the king of sageuk, and this amazing cast, and with this, for once, very original story, I expect (and pray for) a great epic sageuk like we used to watch. Please KBS, do not disappoint fans of real sageuk !
I thought I would watch 1 episode per day but ended up, I just couldn't stop. I think cos in the movie, they also…
After watching up to episode 4, I did enjoy it more than the first episode, but I guess it will never be on the level of "Fabricated City" for me. All the scenes with Chang Wook are great, but I'm not convinced by the villain character so far and I'm still bothered by the writing and production from time to time. I guess I will just try to enjoy it as much as possible even though it's not as good as I hoped. ;)
Well, not convinced by the first episode unfortunately. "Fabricated City" is one of my all-time favourite movies (maybe that's actually part of the reason why), I was hooked from the very start, but here I was bored with the first episode and it was actually hard to finish it. After having waited so long to watch Chang Wook on screen again, it's disappointing. Hopefully it will get better and I will appreciate the next episodes more. The cast and acting is not the problem, Chang Wook is brilliant, as always, but I guess the writing and the filming/production don't do it for me with this first episode. And I think the subtitles on Disney+ are quite bad. They should stick to literal translation because they tend to change the meaning of some words/sentences by trying to make it sounds more "natural", but in the end it doesn't look like Korean dialogues.
"Kim Soo Hyun's new legal representative" I wonder how many times he will change lawyers to get out of this mess him and his rotten agency created.
But I do hope lo_ve, the author of this article, will stop writing articles about him and his situation, especially when they are only "positive" for his side. If you are a fan and not an objective writer, you shouldn't write about your favourite actors here. I don't think MDL is supposed to share news as an "opinion paper".
I'm really happy for him as I have liked Chae Min as an actor since his debut. I don't like "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty", which is a poor sageuk for me (but that's what is popular with the general audience nowadays unfortunately), but nonetheless I am happy for him if it's the drama that help him make a breakthrough, especially considering the way he was cast for it. I'm looking forward to his future roles and projects.
