For me Jang Hyuk has never been in a bad sageuk, so I trust him. I'm looking forward to this one, a lot !

Yushin and Chunchu! The names of some characters trigger me, side effect of having watched Queen Seon Deok. Anyways…
I think we won't have a very long format like we used to enjoy unfortunately, but for the rest, yes, I hope it will be an epic (and serious) sageuk like before.

I thought I would watch 1 episode per day but ended up, I just couldn't stop. I think cos in the movie, they also…
After watching up to episode 4, I did enjoy it more than the first episode, but I guess it will never be on the level of "Fabricated City" for me. All the scenes with Chang Wook are great, but I'm not convinced by the villain character so far and I'm still bothered by the writing and production from time to time. I guess I will just try to enjoy it as much as possible even though it's not as good as I hoped. ;)

Well, not convinced by the first episode unfortunately. "Fabricated City" is one of my all-time favourite movies (maybe that's actually part of the reason why), I was hooked from the very start, but here I was bored with the first episode and it was actually hard to finish it. After having waited so long to watch Chang Wook on screen again, it's disappointing. Hopefully it will get better and I will appreciate the next episodes more. The cast and acting is not the problem, Chang Wook is brilliant, as always, but I guess the writing and the filming/production don't do it for me with this first episode.
And I think the subtitles on Disney+ are quite bad. They should stick to literal translation because they tend to change the meaning of some words/sentences by trying to make it sounds more "natural", but in the end it doesn't look like Korean dialogues.

"Kim Soo Hyun's new legal representative" I wonder how many times he will change lawyers to get out of this mess him and his rotten agency created.

But I do hope lo_ve, the author of this article, will stop writing articles about him and his situation, especially when they are only "positive" for his side. If you are a fan and not an objective writer, you shouldn't write about your favourite actors here. I don't think MDL is supposed to share news as an "opinion paper".

I'm really happy for him as I have liked Chae Min as an actor since his debut. I don't like "Bon Appetit, Your Majesty", which is a poor sageuk for me (but that's what is popular with the general audience nowadays unfortunately), but nonetheless I am happy for him if it's the drama that help him make a breakthrough, especially considering the way he was cast for it. I'm looking forward to his future roles and projects.

The queen you are referring to is the "Daebi", the Queen Dowager. The second wife of the current king's father that was crowned queen after his mother was deposed (so his step-mother). And his grandmother is the "Wangdaebi", the Great Queen Dowager or Royal Queen Dowager.

Sounds like silly nitpicking to me."Haute cuisine" is also used in French (even extensively in its Wikipedia…
French people are so dumb. If Wikipedia and English speaking people say "haute cuisine", why do they keep saying "grande cuisine" or "haute gastronomie" seriously ? They should really change the way they speak.

I checked and the French Wikipedia page is about "Grande cuisine" though, but don't mind my silly nitpicking.

Haute cuisine ?! It's grande cuisine or haute gastronomie in France. And these meals are nowhere near what was actually served and eaten in Versailles during Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI reigns... The French steak tartare recipe is from the early 20th century. Such nonsense.

I am only watching this for the close-ups on Chae Min face when he eats. It's a delight. ^^ And this role really suits him very well. For the rest, it's ridiculous, but of course it's popular.
