Kim Gyu Vin has the charisma of a clamshell, I'm happy his ranking finally dropped. He isn't outstanding for his vocals or dance skills, just "average". He was in the Top10 for so long because of his looks it seems (even though I don't find him handsome so I don't get why he was so popular). But the fact that he got first place for the "En Garde” performance instead of Gun Wook still baffles me.

These two are so sweet and cute together. Lee Seung Gyu and Lee Jong Hyuk did a terrific job for these roles ! Perfect for the kisses and the pecks. I think episode 7 and the first part of episode 8 were a little bit messy, with unnecessary miscommunication, compared to the rest of the story, so it's not perfect for me, but stil a solid 9,5/10 for me. And I'm really look forward to future roles for both of them, because they look like really promising actors.

Wouah, it will be messy next week ! But it's inevitable after all. And it's a Korean romance drama. ^^ But considering he is very understanding and so in love with Woo Joo, I think Dong Jin will understand Woo Joo's motivations and actions, and forgive her in the end.

Why the mother is so mad? i mean is it the kids fault? i don't think so.
She is angry because she is sad for what happened to her children without knowing anything, that's quite a common reaction for some people, and especially for Koreans. And also probably because, as it was hinted in the last episodes, the house was divided in three parts for them, so they should not have been robbed by Hee Ja, who just scammed them and put their family in more misery after all she had already done in the past.

I'm so glad DJ and WJ found each other coz tbh it's hard to be with someone like them.. the silence will kill…
No, from a Korean point of view it is quite normal that parents go however they want to their children's place, still today, for many people.

The character's name is Hee Ja. ;) And yes, that's it. He knows Dong Jin is her son, but he don't know that she was the former mistress and new wife of his late father.

I'm on episode 10, I just don't understand why the mom lives separately and now came back and is angry with the…
Everything was explained during the show. The mother left because she had a cancer and was being treated in the countryside. So when they were kicked out of the house they didn't want to tell her right away to not worry her (and probably because Woo Joo thought she could take the house back), but Hye Seong was supposed to inform their mother at some point, but didn't, so the mother discovered everything when she came back for Woo Woo's birthday. There is more but wait to watch episodes 11 and 12.

So so good ! The acting is top-notch. I really like all the cast.
I'm a little bit worried with all Woo Joo's lies though. ^^ Nothing will change by waiting that it blows off. Very curious about how everything will be known in the end.
Dong Jin is really a puppy character, but poor boy, what a terrible mother. The attraction is so intense between these two characters. I'm so looking forward to the last four episodes.

The story is a little bit messy, and these characters are seriously problematic, but it's objectively very good. It'd have deserved a full movie format to develop the relationships more I think.
Kazu is a real jerk though. He is the one cheating on Shin when he starts to feel tired of their relationship but he is the one angry that Shin leave him when he asked for it himself. And then he throw a tantrum when he knows that Shin slept again with his ex to save his ass out from prison/police, because he couldn't control himself a bit up the other jerk Takashi. Shin is really a pathetic victim in this story.
So yes, it's not a nice or good story, it's bad, but very well done, the acting is superb.

I'm glad the male lead will be someone else for this sageuk. Otherwise, it would have just been one more cheesy rom-com sageuk for sure. Now maybe there is some hope that this story will be a nice fantasy sageuk. Something that is very lacking.

drama is fiction, why should they be realistic. Cross-dressing is an easy way to create fun situations and suspense.
Well, because watching something that is unrealistic is boring and damages the value of a good story for me.
There is a big difference between a story being a fiction, and a show to be realistic. Being realistic doesn't mean that it has to be same that in real life, but that it must be logical and believable. For example, "Star Wars" is a fiction, but the many races shown in there are realistic, even though they don't exist in real life...
If you like cross-dressing in sageuk, it's good for you. I like cross-dressing, but not in sageuk, because it's never well done and it doesn't bring value to the story, on the contrary, it only brings the same clichés and tropes situations that, for me, reduce the interest and the quality of the production.

Nice to see a third discerning person among the commenters here.
Well, I don't know the main couple as idols, so I guess I'm not biased by that (they are not bad actors, but neither they stand out), and I often don't agree with the main feminine opinion about BLs in this website (I'm not the target for this so it's a given, I guess), so I'm not surprised by the laudatory comments for this one too.
But the comparison with "Our dating Shim" that is currently airing is enough to prove how low quality this one is for me.

btw there's a counterpart for this ??? what is it?
I was referring to "A Shoulder to Cry On", which is airing right now too but which I find very cliché and boring, but with episodes which are double the time of these ones.

Oh no, it's not that I don't think that they cannot debut. Of course they all have some talents to be there (even if there are still questionnable people in the Top 28 for me), but I don't think the current Top 15 (to be large in case of changes in the ranking), would really blend well together considering their diversity and various talents. That's what I mean when I wrote that he would be better off alone. I don't see them, right now, working well as a group. Of course I can be wrong, but that's what I feel for the moment.

Seriously, this show... and people voting with their feet.
I have watched this only for Han Bin, because he genuinely impressed me with his cover of "Beautiful Beautiful", and keeps being outstanding, but I'm worried for the people who will debut with him. He would seriously be better off alone with such talent.

So cliché, that's quite boring, and the illogical plot keeps going on after the first episodes. Definitely not a good one for me. Also, the secondary characters are really not helping in this one I think.

This one is so good. Why does it have to be so short ? The best Korean BLs are mostly shorter than the boring ones (just like its current counterpart...), that's so annoying. Lee Seung Gyu and
Lee Jong Hyuk are both very good, true actors. Looking forward to the next episodes and their respective careers.

What’s with the disgusting comments, I get that you people are not liking this but still continue to come back…
Everybody do that for every drama/movie, or anything, here or anywhere in Internet. It's the same with restaurants ratings. ^^
People who like can express it in the comments. People who don't like can equally express it in the comments. And everybody can either share their opinions, debate or ignore the comments. That's only natural, everybody is free to express his opinion.
The real problem is the people who can't accept others opinions and keep pushing their opinions over others.
When it comes to films and TV series, it's a matter of taste. Of course some things can be objectively discussed (quality of production, music, acting, etc.) but it is still subjective as you cannot rate the feelings a person experienced when watching something. ;)

I want the era of historicals from we ton to end. They are all mostly trash
That's true. Since 2016/2018 we have almost only rom-com sageuk with the same boring clichés and tropes over and over, with relationships and stories that look exactly like the rom-coms that take place in current times but transposed to Joseon era. And the diversity of stories, characters and eras is very much lacking indeed.
Some of them, too few unfortunately, are still good though, but we sure miss the long and epic sageuk era.
It costs quite a lot indeed to produce a very good sageuk, so money must definitely be one of the reasons. But it's also due to the public. These trashy rom-coms, I totally agree with that, please the main target (young women), like it's visible here on MDL.
