In this cold winter of filming industry, it's really hard to get cast in a role. Many actors and actresses with good experience are without any work. It's very unreasonable to think a big production team would force an actress who never acted as a female lead before. From my knowledge, only the traffic stars get cast directly by the production team because they have commercial value to the crew. But if the actors who aren't traffic signs letter of intent for their preferred roles. Their agencies try hard to compete against other candidates by offering unknown deals like resource exchange, bringing investors, lowering the payment etc.
So the right person to blame are her agency and her parents who decided it for her. Powerful agency is what she has. Her upcoming drama as a female lead with LinYi is also like that. Xing Fei was supposed to act. But both AiMi and Xing Fei are from same agency. Her agency decided to let AiMi act there instead of Xing Fei.
That's the reason everyone should be more vocal towards her agency. She has another rumored drama with DW where the age gap is 13.

I don't know her personally and have no reason to hate. I only follow the trending news on weibo. It is strongly rumored her father is currently in jail for money laundering since Jan after she joined the drama with zyl on Jan. A period drama would require at least 3-4 month but the production crew ended it only after 2 month of filming to reduce the cost. If my family is innocent I would be very vocal to it by opposing it but neither Esther or her studio addressed this accusation.

According to that logic, all the loud talks to boost up the female actress is just empty words without any reliable ground. This drama haven't gotten approved by iQIYI yet.

👉 If it gotten approved by iQIYI, the production team could use a newbie as the male lead. They wouldn't be desperate to hire another popular actor in the industry.

Last year his other iqiyi drama started filming around July. The concept poster was already presented in the iqiyi conference around April 2025. A poster is enough to announce the drama as long as iqiyi give importance to it. Iqiyi always present their upcoming works during their world conference.
This drama is all about big talks about being iqiyi drama although iqiyi never recognized it as their own.
So who do you think bought the negative press? logically it either be the production crew or your team 🍵 that guy won't buy negative press for himself r8?

Hire someone else then. He showed his interest on working in modern non idol drama few days ago. The production team, his agency are forcing him rn. He is not from a wealthy background with his own agency to reject as he wishes. The production team is buying negative press releases to get him and you can keep defending that garbage production team. They need him to get approval from iqiyi. That's why the drama wasn't presented during Iqiyi conference held on April.

Was there any male lead signed before? If no then the filming couldn't start because of having no male lead. Her music work ended month ago. Now it's delaying waiting for the rumored male lead to finish his schedule first or they might have to match his own schedule

His upcoming concert schedules can't change, the production team must change their schedule to match his schedule if they are desperate enough
