Finally, the momentum picked up. EP8 was a good on so far, and it lift up EP9 as well. If this keeps up it might be another great conclusion to the season. I still think this season has some writing/plot/storytelling problem a bit that it kinda fail to grab, and sometimes obstruct me buying into its bigger and 'more exciting' plot. This episode and the last finally get me a bit more excited to see what's next. Last season has a better consistent and cohesive overarching plotline and a nice moment-to-moment. This season has interesting and intense issues it tried to tackle.
You know, despite being one of the higher quality series, this one is kind of a flop in thailand. Or at least to many people I know. And from googling, a lot of thai has mixed review ranging from interesting to unsatisfying. I dropped it too, a few episodes in, so I'm surprised to see a lot of good reviews here. I came here thinking of picking it up again because of Pawin from MGYG. Maybe I should give it another chance. I think the main reason it didn't garnered that good of a review in thailand was because people have such high expectation from this being the first thai netflix original series. A lot of reviews actually said in order to watch this you have to let your heart be "stranded" with them.
Ok, despite saying that this season is not as good as ss1, I really enjoy the story of this EP7. It is by far, the most enjoyable episode. Lee, Tay and the Minister guy give much justice to the role. Please, don't let the following episodes fail this enjoyable level.
Though, one plothole-ish thing this episode open is in the characterization of the Director Supot. He said in ss1 that the reason he started Gifted class was to separate the Gifted student out to nurture them unlike the ordinary ones. Bringing up the threat from Minister this way kinda contradict with what he said in ss1.
Unfortunately I agree. Even though the 1st season was great, this one is not as good. A lot of things are happening…
Yes, I'll also see it through to the end. Fortunately, EP7 is hitting the right note for me and become a more understandable than prior episodes. I'm starting to get into the new conflict "arc" that this EP7 is setting up.
6 episodes so far and I'm not getting into the story at all. I don't know why but the plot progression and dialogues are kinda...... awkward. I feel bad for the actors who has been doing their best so far with the material given. It's very confusing how they tell the story like it's a patches of something sewn together and characters feel weird.
