why did the rating drop so bad i was going to watch this , I swear it was 8.4
people are mad it was a super slow burn romance and the drama spent alot of time working through their individual issues first. i understand some of the criticism but the level of vitriol here is crazy. i rated it 8.5, take it as you will.
I think this is another case of bad marketing setting up the wrong expectations. This is clearly a healing drama with humor and romance, not a romcom. The ML is healing from the trauma of abandonment from his brother and father which created a fear of personal attachments which both fueled and jeopardized his career in photography. Hence why most of his storyline consists of dealing with Woojoo who serves as a catalyst to work through his family issues and reviving his love of photography as his livelihood.
The FL had a great relationship with her sister and even encouraged her sister's boyfriend to get married to her sister when he was hesitant due to his own trauma. She was very much part of the family and Woojoo's life. Her relationship with Woojoo doesn't need to be explored. The FL's main sources of conflict are finally getting a permanent well-paid job to be a responsible adult who can support herself (and Woojoo) and resolving her feelings for her first love whom she didn't think she was worthy of. The SML embodies her ideal life: a successful career and a perfect romantic partner. By working through her professional and personal relationships with him, she comes to redefine what she wants in her job and in her love life.
Our leads started out bickering in opposition due to their conflicting viewpoints, but the openness and honesty they brought to their fighting easily allowed them to segue into encouragement and support as they learned more about each other and began to care. They are their authentic selves with each other, warts and all, and overwhelming see the good in the other. Like she did with his older brother, she encouraged our ML to be part of the family. And once she learned how much he loved photography, she encouraged him to pursue it. When he understood how much having a stable job meant to her, he tried to be more accommodating with her late schedule and wanted to celebrate her wins. When he learned of her first love, he didn't stand in the way (like the SML has done). Instead, he emphasized what he brought to the table: his feelings and desire to be by her side through the ups and downs of life. Did they do this perfectly? Hell no. It's been messy, just like real life. Sometimes egos got in the way. Sometimes there were misunderstandings or lack of communication. But they picked themselves back up, stood side-by-side, and worked it out because they love each other and their little family.
Episode 9 really highlighted how much the three of them have created their own special universe by emphasizing how sad and lonely they are now that they are spending time apart.
Why are almost all sites calling it a melodrama? The genre list doesn’t include melodrama. 🫤
The tags are submitted by users based on the promotional materials and articles. It's hard to know what the drama will actually be until it starts airing. Then users update the tags accordingly.
I'm about 20 minutes into episode 2 and I purposely avoid teasers and trailers for the drama cause I didn't want…
Yes, the relationship chart which is in the Photos shows that Hayeong and Taeseok have a love line. Actually, all 3 sisters and their grandma have love lines.
Love this show already! Haran and Chan were torn apart by fate only to be brought back together by destiny to solidify what began under shaky circumstances. According to the show's relationship chart, ALL 3 sisters and their grandmother will have love lines.
