worth the watch? my only experience with Chinese dramas is when I fly towards you, time and him are just right, falling into your smile.. is it like those?
Haru's backstory is so freaking sad.... it's much worse than i could've imagined... i wish the episodes were longer and more fleshed out. i think that's what kills the narrative suspense a bit :(
it would've been a 9/10 for me if they had fleshed out every relationship more, it felt like chunks and chunks…
i also know the details were omitted because it would cause too much complication and require more explanation, ig for a 16 ep drama this one may have been better as 20? but we know thats not a kdrama thing lol
it would've been a 9/10 for me if they had fleshed out every relationship more, it felt like chunks and chunks of details were missing and those didn't add confusion but just shallowed the potential depth for the story. i also realize, truly, that Juwon's character didn't seem like she was really interested in anything, and her complexity wasn't explored the way Sanha/Haejun's was. there was just no way they could fit that in the runtime, she just felt like she was always a tool in her family, silly and happy to be there. Heeju was the most annoying girl not being able to read the room but not even a bad person, it just makes me feel disappointed in the writing of the side characters to only be there as plot elements to urge the main characters to act / speak.
i think in the end no matter how much i loved this show, the plot at the last 4-6 episodes and the romantic chemistry and development between sanwon, haedal, and the parents was like a meh...... i give it a 8/10!
also melody said it well that the partners all didn't have equal povs so we couldn't see how they felt about their respective partners very well
This drama definitely needed 20 episodes. The last 4 ep were incredibly rushed. Super disappointed as it was one…
agreeeeee,,,, i can't exactly point out the plot holes off the top of my head, but i really couldn't see sanwon doing more intimate things,,,, and the relationships were soo forced together i felt, disappointment.
