an ancient love song is also a bilibili drama and it got picked up by viki and drama box english on youtube last year so hopefully *someone* will sub it
oh they never ever give us that info this far in advance for cdramas. they'll have to finish post-production and obtain a distribution license (aka pass censorship) first. consider yourself lucky if a drama you're looking forward to gives an official date more than a couple weeks ahead. but anyway, given that this drama just wrapped yesterday, hopefully we get it early mid 2025 tops?

Reading the plot synopsis, the similarities between this and the kdrama The Beauty Inside are quite obvious (and I don't mean that in a bad way!), but I saw some people online say that its a loose adaptation (more specifically that they supposedly bought the copyright, kept the basic premise of the face blindness and transformation, but changed the setting/characters/plot). Does anyone know if there's any indication that this is actually fact or just a running theory?
Tan Jianci just landed in Fuzhou (aka the real life filming location for Beijiang this season, previously it was Xiamen)! Expect him to join the cast and crew soon and (hopefully) give us some sweet sweet set pics too!
The production never made any official cast announcement besides the two leads! I found good quality behind the scenes footage to "prove" that Wang Zhuocheng and Wang Tianchen are part of the cast to get them added. Reportedly, Gu Zicheng is also in the cast but I couldn't find any clear photos or footage to back this up. If you know any other cast members and have proof, I encourage you to add them yourself!

They don't release that info to the public, but considering the entire cast celebrated the 2nd anniversary together, that DXC is the most recent member to join after a string of 2022 regulars leaving, that he's quite frequently in a lot of episodes, and that they film months in advance, I'm sure he'll stay on relatively for a while. They seem to be promoting this current cast as THE core 6 (+ He Laoshi and Wu Zelin) and I think whatever contract he does have, it's tighter than the previous members'. Plus, I'd be surprised if he left before Wang Hedi, for example, who's stayed a regular since the start, despite barely ever being in episodes anymore.
