and there has to be a reason why kang tae constantly asks sang tae who he likes more between him and moon young,…
It is usually just a playful question that people ask one another to choose who they like better between them and someone else. Parents will playfully ask children to choose between them and the other parent, A friend might playfully ask their friend to choose between them and their favorite idol, A girlfriend might playfully ask her boyfriend to choose between her and his favorite ball player, etc. In this drama, they may be using it to show Sang Tae's strong preference toward Ko Mun Yeong.
also i guess everyone watches it on netflix rather than on tv.. i dont think 40+,50+ audience will enjoy watching…
Idk that that would be true in the United States (or Europe for that matter) especially since the 40 to 60 demographic has grown up always embracing mental health. It may be because of psychology becoming so popular in the 60's and 70's but my generation and even those before me, were raised reading psychology articles and books, and taking courses in psychology. By the early eighties it seemed everyone had a therapist of some sort.
I will ask this here since I haven’t seen anyone mentioning it, does anyone know what brand of cigarettes moonyoung…
When I was younger there were dark brown (the color of dark tobacco) cigarettes called More. They did not have a gold filter, but they were a dark brown like Mun Yeong's cigarettes.
Him basically saying that he has become forgetful is basically him saying that nowadays he has been so lost in…
I truly believe that MY has felt genuine feelings for him all along. I just don't think she knows how to properly process them since she was probably conditioned by her mother to respond unnaturally to them.
Yesss. This proves that she wasn't "born" like this. She was human too and something happened to her. I still…
I believe that in Episode 4 -The conversation at lunch with Kang Tae reveals so much about her connection to the "Zombie Kid" character including Mun Yeong's statement at the end of the Zombie Kid, “What did the boy really want? Satiating his hunger? Or feeling his mother’s warmth?”
It begins with CEO Sang In warning to Kang Tae about Moon Young during a phone conversation. “When she says she wants something she practically means she’s hungry for it. So, in other words, she’s saying she’s going to eat you alive.”
Kang Tae returns to the table with Moon Young and asks about the ban of “The Zombie Kid” book. MY – “They think the illustration and storyline are too grotesque.’ “Those idiots can’t read the actual message that’s hidden behind the letters” KT – “What’s the Message?” MY – You should read it. I want to hear what you think about it. KT – I’m too old for fairy tales. MY - Oh come on, I think that you are just the right age for it. KT - “How old are you?” MY - I am just a kid, but you’re more like a kid than me. KT – How am I like a Kid? MY – Because I can see that you want to be loved.
*The CEO's interpretation of Mun Yeong is very similar to that of a "zombie" and it is based solely on her superficial ("grotesque") ASPD behaviors and not the hidden feelings and needs that she actually experiences.
*Mun Young talks about looking beyond the grotesque for the hidden meaning of the Zombie Kid.
*Moon Young tells Kang Tae that he is like a "kid" since he wants to be loved. She also sees herself as a "kid" which means that she also wants to be loved despite those appearances to the contrary.

There are so many moments where she reveals through subtle expressions or actions her ability to feel deep sincere emotions and her ability to understand the feelings of others and empathize, but she usually disguises these moments under superficial or selfish pretenses. Her fairy tales reveal this. As do the underlying meaning of the words she says during some of her discussions.
I cannot wait to find out what Mun Yeong's mother said or did to young Mun Yeong before she ran to meet young Kang Tae at the gate. She was sincerely happy to see him then changed completely between being stopped by her mother and meeting Kang Tae at the gate. I also look forward to Kang Tae discovering that her mother did something to suppress Mun Yeong's natural feelings.
the only thing i don’t like about this drama is the childhood connection between ML and FL, it’s such a cliche…
I am embarrassed to admit this. But I love the childhood trope when it is done well. I feel in this case it is done exceptionally well since it is their childhood that formed the psychological disorders they struggle with as adults and also since it has a fairy tale theme.
