Title One Spring Night Spoiler
This drama manages to get better and better every damned episode...an absolute beauty.
This drama is so beautiful. I am so emotional over this little family that is forming and all the wonderful people who support them.
I just wish I hadn't seen the preview. My hope is that it all means that the biological mother will not bother them. I cannot bear for them to have to endure further pain.

The mother and Lee Jae In. I love them. I didn't think I could love them more than I already did. But I love them…
In fact I love every person in this drama more than I already did.
Except for those I hate more than I already did.

Can I just say that I admire Jeong In's mom so effing much? That woman had to live with a shallow, selfish man…

The most intense and sincere moments are with Choi Young Do. I still wish they ended up together.

Also, I agree with many of your points regarding the series in this post as well as your other post.
Adding to that
While I find the idea unique, the visuals beautiful, and the majority of the acting excellent, I am disappointed in the writing.

I think there is a misunderstanding
In the original "sexist and insidious comments" post
No one called people sexist
No one criticized other people for having differing opinions
No one twisted other people's comments

While your post does not criticize the couple or the drama based on the age gap, there were other posts by other people at the time that did.

I felt that the DLKDramaFan post to which you are referring was respectful and thoughtful. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding.

"The insidious sexist comments by some are disappointing and sad."
"Insidious and sexist" are used to describe the negative comments about the two year age gap between the two leads, not the people posting them.
The poster went on to cite valid reasons for this statement including their significance.

This sparked further comments including the wonderful exchange below when the original poster even gained insight into her/his own indoctrination to this type of thought.

Meineke -
"Absolutely agree. The fact that a 9 year age gap between SL/ FL is more acceptable to people than the 2 year gap between between the leads just because FL is older makes no sense to me."

DLKDramaFan-
"OMG! See how insidious it is? Even I was too indoctrinated to notice that point! I wish I could give you 100 hand clap emojis and love votes for your smart insightful comment. THANK YOU!!!!"

You are not alone.
I revisit just to read the thoughts of others who are just now watching this drama as well as those who shared the experience of watching while airing. Like the show, even the less than positive views offer insights.

i dislike childhood connections too but at least this didn’t piss me off as much as her private life
HPL's childhood connection was unbelievably bad.
Their relationship as children was not that intense and the reason for the ml being separated from his biological mother was out of character for those involved and for every sane adult ever.
And I also loved the show.

On Angel's Last Mission: Love Jun 28, 2019
I think that people are being a bit harsh in their judgment of Kim Myung Soo as Kim Dan.

The character of Kim Dan is described as that of an “optimistic, carefree angel who is always getting into trouble”. Other adjectives used by the various press include “immature” and “mischievous”.

This type of character naturally lends itself to awkward cringey moments, especially in contrast to the disciplined, intense and dark characters that fill ALML. Despite this (and CGI Wings), Kim Myung Soo manages to capture the spirit of Kim Dan with warmth, charm, sincerity, and wonderful romantic chemistry with Lee Yeon Seo who is also emotionally stunted and can be childishly stubborn and arrogant due to her own unique circumstances.

In earlier episodes, there are times when Kim Myung Soo’s mannerisms may have come off a little too unnaturally childish, but I feel this is the fault of the director for not providing the actor with more guidance and structure.

It should be noted that I came to this drama for Shin Hye Sun and Lee Dong Gun, I was not really familiar with Kim Myung Soo.

I second the improved writing. I love this couple and their story so much more than SITR ( and I loved that couple).
Jeong In, Ji Ho, and their friends, families and coworkers are all well developed characters. They interact naturally with each other and feel like real friends and family that have a history together and genuinely know and care for each other. (Minus Jeong In's father of course)

The worst part of the crazy mother is that it was not even mildly interesting. Not once was it believable. It was just more and more and more of the same nonsense every single episode. The characters and the story just got lost after such an outstanding beginning. I still watch the first part it is so unique and beautiful. I just stop as soon as the Crazy Mother etc. monopolizes the story.

"I hope this drama doesn't follow in SITR's footsteps and make it all about the parents until the end... "
This has been my mantra since the characters of the ex and the fathers became so ridiculous and took the focus away from far more interesting and moving stories within this otherwise wonderful drama.

I hope the ex-boyfriend and both the fathers grow as human beings and come to terms with this break up, reflect on their behavior and move on to be better people. I hope the writer does the same only in terms of writing and this tired trope.
