there is a guy who fancies fl (more like a childhood friend), but she made it really obvious that he has no chance. and he doesn't get much screen time either (even less so interacting with fl), if i'm honest it's easy to forget he is in the show at all

Exactly! I have only seen one episode and the push towards this couple (Wang Yoo and Seung Nyang) is soo strong, I'm struggling to continue; because I really don't want them to be together - I arrived to see her become Empress after all. Maybe I should just skip this drama :/

imo overall it's not, but some stories are good. as they are independet of each other it's a mixed bag. I found scary episodes 6, 1, 5 (ordered from the one i think was scariest); but i'm also rather easily scared
