I think this drama has potential to be greater than what they made it to be. For one, I really liked Vic Zhou in here (and I'm not a fan of him). I love his character, so loving, calm, sweet, and charming. The pictures are beautiful and Dilraba makes a wonderful FL. The ost are great too. The Cantabile song gives me nostalgia.
I actually enjoyed this drama. Sort of reminds me of Harry Potter. Love the fight scenes and the training. Really liked Baron Chen in here. But it was a little sad that Xun'er left him alone in the cave at the end. Waiting for season 2!
Ning Que is too arrogant for me...not sure how he made it to the Two Tower. They made it too easy for him to get there. His arrogance is just not my type of ML. Also the FL looks like a 13 year old girl. I have a hard time watching this drama. I liked Fight Break Sphere better.
He did brilliantly in Ashes of Love. He had such a soothing, calm looking face, it is hard not to be interested in his emotions and thoughts. It was his storyline and character that made me continue as far as I can in Ashes of Love, until I couldn't no more. But he's gain a fan.
Xufeng is nice because a) no competition b) he doesn’t even care to be heavenly emperor c) he was basically…
Maybe it's just not my type of story then or the actors are not ones that I prefer to watch in these roles, though I do like the Night Immortal actor. I actually was not irritated watching "Ten Miles of Peach Blossom", compare to Ashes of Love.

Thanks for both your comments.
I stopped watching after the FL killed the ML and just skipped to the last episode. Can't comment about what happened in between that. But I really did like the OST.
I'm not a fan of Jinmi's character. (Perhaps it's just Yang Zi's annoying acting then.)
There are other stories where the Night Immortal would be made the ML, and his actions would be justified because of what others did to him. He had everything at the end, yet they made him so narrow-minded in seeing that he did not have anything. Why? That's a terrible choice in developing a character, I would say. Has he not grown up after going thru all the trials and tribulations? Has he not learned to love the ones who stayed with him through thick and thin? At least have him learn to love Kuang Lu and have a happy ending too.
Overall, I think the Night Immortal's storyline was more interesting. Not sure how they botched his story later on.
I'm not sure what the hype is about this drama. Jinmi irritates me like crazy, I couldn't continue after she killed the ML. And to be honest, not sure how ML is portrayed so good before all that, when in reality, an heir to the throne with that much power would not be too nice. What irritates me also is that the person who does everything to save the ML after he got killed also gets a terrible story. And the Night Immortal who has lived an injustice life also is made into a villain and a terrible ending for him? What kind of story is this?
I don't know why I like this drama even though the storyline is simple and light. The ML is not even the most good-looking actor too, but somehow I really like him. :) I guess I really like the chemistry of the 2 leads. :)
Funny thing is he exploited Sese just like how he exploited Xiao Feng. Not sure how he loves Xiao Feng? I think the actress Sese is very lovely and graceful.
This is an eye-candy drama for me. I just want to see the ML and FL all the time. They have such chemistry and he just looks at her as if he's ready to ravish her! Love it. Can we get more eye-candy drama?!! :D I love both season, because of the ML and FL's chemistry. But season 2 has a better flow in the storyline. Nevertheless, I want more! hahaha
Sese seems to have the worse role in this drama. Even the ML couldn't even protect her and let her suffer so much. Yet in the end, ML doesn't even love her. :(
She is pretty and talented, but they don't give her very exceptional dramas. Her best one so far is Sud Sai Pan, where she could showcase her talent of being good vs bad.
I love this drama, up until they divorced, and the director butchered the show. They had the perfect cast, and ost. They should remake the last couple of episodes just to make me happy.
