Does he maybe think that dating relationships aren't long term? And friendship with Da On would be more ... reliable? Does he feel like Suhyeon might still be a small threat, so this way is a more sure way of getting him out of the picture/off-limits (though it puts himself off limits, too)?

Ok, so what the F is up with Jaemin. I was finally settling on the hypothesis that he just wanted to be friends with Da On, but I just watched that conversation between him and Suhyeon, and I don't understand what he would get out of pretending to date Suhyeon. I know he's blackmailing Suhyeon into not dating Da On by saying that he could easily be with Da On (I'm guessing because he knows Da On is severely in love with him), but he won't if Suhyeon pretends to date him. So at that point, my understanding was that he wanted to keep Da On's friendship (devotion), but didn't actually want to date him, yet thought he couldn't keep the friendship if Suhyeon (somehow) convinced Da On to date him. But now I'm watching the scene where they're in the church (why a church) and Jaemin says to Suhyeon "you like him, TOO" and now it seems (from iQIYI's admittedly untrustworthy subtitles) like Jaemin is also in love with Da On, but if they both know how absolutely besotted with Jaemin Da On is, why isn't Jaemin dating Da On? For a moment there, I was like, OH! It's because of homophobia and he wants to hide that he's dating a man, but dating Suhyeon completely defeats that short-lived theory. So now I'm out of theories.
Also, Jaemin saying "it could have IT all by myself, but I shared IT with you" is so messed up.
Help. MLD shows there's a cut and uncut version, but the links go to the same place. Is there not an uncut version? Yes, I'm that kid. I'm a little squeemish when it comes to explicit sex scenes.
