My favorite drama with Namkoong Min as ML is My Dearest on viki.

He does not do the casting for the dramas he acts in.
In the US, male actors are almost always cast with younger or much younger female actors. I think it's a bias on the part of producers, and others who decide who should be cast.
Either they themselves only want to see younger women, or they think that viewers do.

He was wonderful in the drama My Dearest.

He's also great in Flourished Peony.

He has great chemistry with Yang Zi in both Go Go Squid and Flourished Peony.

I love the actor, Tong Mei Shi, who played her cousin Li Xing. He was in Joy of Life, parts 1 and 2, but in part 2, he really shone as Uncle Wu Zhu. I hope he gets more roles.

Her handsome, deep voiced cousin does end up with someone near the end, but I don't think it was any character we previously met in the story.

That's why I wait until both parts have been aired (and translated) before I watch such dramas.

I thought Nothing Gold Can Stay was wonderful.

I just finished it and I enjoyed both seasons. Part 1 was somewhat better, but part 2 is worth seeing IMHO. When the leads finally let down their shields, they have a passionate relationship. But you need to be patient.
When I watch a drama, especially one with 2 parts, I try not to let negative comments influence me.
Some people watch a part 2 and don't like it, some don't watch it, or don't finish it and don't like it.
I have been watching Chinese and Korean dramas since COVID started and most times I have found I am better off not reading negative comments beforehand.
Comments can be weird. Sometimes I am surprised how a very good drama gets a lower rating than (I think) it deserves, and other times a flawed drama (IMHO) gets rave reviews.
That's why if a drama description sounds good to me, I watch it without any initial prejudice.
It works for me.

I am in the US and I loved it. I love the leads also - wonderful actors and so easy on the eyes.

They have oodles of chemistry.

I liked season 2. But I agree that season 1 was somewhat better.
Isn't that the case with many dramas that have 2 parts?

I enjoyed both. I saw only a few weakish areas in part 2, but I liked it, and that part is where the lead's romance blossoms like her peonies. But be patient, they keep their standoffishness going for a while.

I just finished season 2. Their romance took a while, but eventually they had a passionate love together. Their kisses looked very real.
So if you can be patient while watching season 2, people who like romance will not be disappointed IMHO.

I haven't seen it yet, but sometimes I know I don't like actress co-stars.
Sometimes because they are not very good actresses (poor casting choice), sometimes because their part in the drama was poorly written and their character is just a pretty dunce, sometimes they are boring (to me) and so the romance portions are also boring (to me), etc..
I'm just saying that it may not have anything to do with Wang Yibo shippers.

The chief investigator (character Jeong Hwan - actor Song Jung Ho) and the lead male, Won's sister (character Woo Yeong - actress Kang Byul).
