I agree. Intimate scenes are not needed to portray feelings between characters. They were master and disciple at first in Princess agents, then their feelings for each other grew.
If they indeed are "erasing" that arc to avoid direct romance, I will also be disappointed.
The new FL was in the drama Perfect Match on Netflix. She did have a love interest in that, but I don't remember even a hug between her and her love interest - same reason, her real age.
I will watch Rebirth anyway because of Li Yun Rui. He was magnificent in Blossom.
Maybe they will end it in such a way as to imply they have chosen to be together always.

I read that in Rebirth, the ML has a different name than in Princess Agents. He has the name given in the book.
It is a sequel since it starts from the point where Princess Agents ended - the ML is severely wounded, falls into a lake, and is believed dead.
I believe that the main characters are the same, except for the ML name change that I mentioned.
I read that they will show a short recap of at least the end of Princess Agents with the new cast. But since I am not sure of that myself, I will rewatch Princess Agents.
You may have seen this already, the the actress playing the FL in Rebirth was in the original Princess Agents. In that drama, she played that FL as a child.

I am very much looking forward to another drama with Li Yun Rui as male lead, not yet released, named Rebirth.
It is a follow-up drama to the great story Princess Agents (2017), with a new young cast playing the original lead roles. That one ended with a cliff-hanger.

Not sure why this is rated so high. My sister watched it and said the lead actress was totally unbelievable as a strong female general. She only finished it because of handsome actors Ryan Cheng and Zhang Kang Le.

It's rentable on viki now.

As you find it tiring to reply to my comment, I find it tiring to hear from someone who thinks he/she knows everything and everyone who doesn't see things as they do is irrelevant.

In the Haunted Palace, he was not a nasty imugi. It just seemed that way at first. Later in the show, you can see he is good.

I'm up to episode 19 in the first season, and he is great in it. IMHO, he never disappoints.

I am on episode 19 and (IMHO) I think his acting is very good in this.
