i understand being hesitant if your not into angst but…. just give a try and see if you like it. you can always drop it. idr there being “fluff” like wwfkbj or w/e. i remember this being surprisingly mature.
you have many questions that aren’t answerable in a one dimensional way…. plus it really seems like you’re interested in the plot, somewhat.
i rated this a 10, i remember falling deeply into the story & feeling everyone’s emotions

i’m a weird griever when it comes to entertainers.. as much as i want to watch & rewatch everything he’s been in, i can’t enjoy it because my brain won’t stop reminding me he’s gone forever.
same shit with Anthony Bourdain.. i can’t even watch clips of him still. 😶

this has the most amazingly written, spoken, & acted Emperor. i’m not sure how close to historically accurate it is but he freaking nailed the authoritarian/compassionate/SMART persona!
& the friendship between the Emperor & Kang Kam Chan was tearjerkingly beautiful to say the least.
