I'm on episode 12. How did that witch/widow Zuo end up in Ganlin City before Tingyun and Ling went there???? Why is she free to do whatever she wants over there?????? 😡Didn't the Fu family punish her????
ML, FL, SML, & FL's co-worker/bro were very good in their roles. That was not an open ending - it was as if…
Exactly!!! It's like he got tired and couldn't bother giving us a good closure. Like "Aiiight, imma write this ending real quick and go home to chill and cash out my check!!!" 😤I hate when they do that. I feel cheated as a viewer when I'm sat there expecting the story to wrap up loose ends and then suddenly: CREDITS ROLL ☠️
Since the ending disappointed the heck out of me😞, the three things I'll keep from this drama are:
1) Chen Zhe Yuan as the Emperor was simply amazing and I wish he had more screentime because he was sidelined a lot. He truly shined as a brave and decisive ruler with a very imposing character, one of the best young Emperors I've seen so far in C-Dramas. I am looking forward to his upcoming drama "Chasing Dreams" where I hear he'll also dub his character with his own beautiful voice ✌️
2)Yan Yu Chen as Shen Zi Shu. 👏This young actor has such a promising future!!! I was so impressed by his talent. He has the looks and the spark of Bai Jing Ting who is one of my favorite Chinese actors, so, I'll definitely keep an eye out for his future projects. 👍I truly hope he gets a main role in the future because he definitely left his imprint in this drama, he has what is needed for a lead actor.☺️
3) Liu Yuning's song for this drama is my favorite of his!!! 💗I can't stop thinking about it and I listen to it at least 4-5 times daily, I'm obsessed!!! This rhythm and melody, these lyrics and LYN's voice are THE PERFECT musical combination. 🎶
I had this drama at a 9* but I'm now dropping it to 8* because I absolutely HATE sloppy and open endings and I expected something better from this story. 😓They took their time with the Tiger Roar gang, the Right Chancellor and the multiple corruption cases but they left everything about the Zongwan rebellion and the "Princess" for the final 3-4 episodes. 🙄Ridiculous. It needed at least 4 more episodes for the story to feel complete and the leads needed a proper closure, not a simple look exchange, 15 meters apart and a ride off to the sunset using a long distance angle from a drone so we can't even see their facial expressions. 😒
I should have expected this. Same crap happened in "The Double" and "Rebirth". This creator/director or whatever, is allergic to giving proper endings to the audience. 😡I'll think twice before watching anything from them ever again...
So, Isoo receives an anonymous tip about a random box sitting in a central spot in a huge mall full of people and goes there along with the other two cops and the tv crew and thinks "Huh!!! What a great idea. Let's open it and see what surprise lies inside!!!". HUH??? 🤦He's a COP now. It didn't cross his mind that there could be something suspicious inside??? ☠️That was such a rookie mistake, I'm surprised the other two guys didn't stop him in time. It pissed me off, not gonna lie. And the first case was pretty dumb, didn't like the secret behind it. 🫤
I was annoyed by the FL change, especially because I'm not a fan of the new actress but somehow, I don't mind after seeing her?? She kinda works for me in this role. I just hope there's no romance, I'm still boarded on the old ship from S1...🥺
Meng Tinghui is a lost Princess from that fallen royal family. Yin Qing is the leader of the Blood Moon Cult, a Prince and her brother, hence his protectiveness and devotion to her. Lady Xitu is their follower. She played that song in the latest episode in front of MTH because that's a melody from their lost land. MTH did say it sounded strangely familiar and peaceful. In the opening credit, she's wearing clothes that look like a different Kingdom's royal outfit and holding a sword against Ying Gua. But then again these are my deductions. This could all be completely wrong.
Sorry but the Japanese clan of Babylon with that freak Kunasagi as leader ruined this season for me. 🤮I don't…
Also, Pasin was literally a walking RED FLAG 🚩!!! You're telling me these expert assassins didn't notice how different Pasin was acting, wandering around and acting like a robot, totally giving off spy vibes?????? 😤I'd have locked him in a room the moment he walked in AFTER having scanned him top to bottom for planted bugs. Ughhh, why did they dumb them down like that... 😓
Sorry but the Japanese clan of Babylon with that freak Kunasagi as leader ruined this season for me. 🤮I don't CARE about them, they're so boring and two-dimensional. Flat characters, with no depth and completely forgettable. 😴Bad acting too. Bale was a monster but at least he was interesting and the actor did a good job!!! 🤷
And don't get me started on the ULTIMATE betrayal in episode 6 🤬(no, the circumstances don't excuse the crime). I'm just extremely furious and I want every Babylon piece of garbage gone for good. 👿
And if there's a season 3, please NO BABYLON AGAIN, PLEASE!!!!!!! 🙏
