On Introverted Boss Mar 28, 2022
After 2 false starts, I finally watched this and I am so glad. I really enjoyed it. It was just the right amount of complicated love tangle, for my mood. Previously, I had been put off by the suicide that happens, right at the beginning of ep 1, then just the weird boss... but once I decided I would go ahead and watch, that 1st episode, I became invested in the characters fairly quickly, and it is much lighter than the beginning would suggest.

Interesting movie. I enjoyed it, but... I feel like i need a new category, in my lists, because I don't see one that it quite right for this one. Just curious. Anyone add this to a list? If so, what is the theme of the list?

So fun! Loved it. Even though it is a fairly new drama, it still has that more innocent feel to it, that I associate with older dramas.

It's logical. A lot of guys want to appear "strong" in front of their girlfriend (especially a girlfriend like…
I am one of those people who do want to see a love storyline. I do have to admit, ... early on, when I first started watching kdramas, I would curse the writers for adding tragedy to my preferred genre; Romantic Comedies. lol... so I do know how you feel.
These dramas are aired on tv. Networks are looking for ratings. Kdramas, in particular, often mix genres, to appeal to the largest audience. It is a quirk of Korean dramas, I have noticed. I only appreciated that, after I expanded to watching dramas from several different countries. I started to see that each country's dramas had their own style, and that each country's dramas had their own unique appeal. It is interesting to compare dramas that are playing on a different network, in a competing time slot and to what type of drama aired in the same time slot, in past years.
For me, there have only been a couple dramas, that I have watched, that did not have romance, and I didn't miss it. I have not read the original material, so I can not judge ... but I get the feeling, I would have found it too melancholy, without a little romance and/or comedy relief.

Title L♥DK
Also wanna add there was like no music in this. I was halfway through and was like there hasn't really been any…
Where did you watch it? I just watched L♥DK: Two Loves Under One Roof, on Viki. I have to say, now I am curious about this one. Besides, I loved Yamazaki Kento in a girl and 3 sweethearts. I would love to see him in something again.
Loved it. This is one of my favorite tropes. IMO, it was done really well. I applaud the screen writer/production staff... I did not see L-DK, but I did not feel like I missed of the story. They made good choices, in what to show in "memory" and where to start telling the story in "the present". I think a lot of movies fail, because they do not make wise choices, and try to show too much in the "present". There was not a lot of chemistry, but to be honest, I didn't even miss it. It was so sweet and adorable. The relationship is depicted as fairly chaste. ... and it does not hurt that the lead actor is very handsome.

what aspect do you like? I could recommend a lot, but only ones that have 1 or 2 similarity but none that include…
I get it. Thankfully, I discovered My Dramalist, early on, in my drama watching. I remember, it still took me about a week, to add everything... If I had to do it now, it would be a nightmare. Now, I am over 400 with just dramas and over 500 adding in movies, etc...

Have you watched My Secret Romance? It is a little more pg13, but I feel like it would fit, on you CEO Romances list. Now that I think of it, Noble My Love, would be a good addition, too. Sung Hoon plays a CEO, in both.

Ah, I looked at your completed list, to see what you have watched, but I guess you have not added all of the dramas you have watched, yet. Let me know, when you have updated it, to current, I will give making a recommendation another go.

I have not watched many gender bender dramas... but off the top of my head, the Korean drama Coffee Prince and the Taiwanese drama Bromance. Both have Boss/employee romance and cross dressing themes. If you have never watched Hana Kimi or any of the remakes, you might want to give any or all, a try. That one is based on a manga. It has cohabitation, since the girl is disguised as a boy to go to an all boys school. My two favorite versions are the Taiwanese drama Hana Kimi (with Ella Chen and second lead Jiro Wang!!!) and the Korean drama To The Beautiful You (no crazy big stars but the drama is done very well, imo).

You have to watch You drive me crazy!
I just started Catch the Ghost, and really enjoying it. Will definitely put You Drive Me Crazy next on my list to watch. I believe I saw it available on Korea On Demand. That is where I am watching Catch the Ghost, also.
