yes I agree that people are already making wild ideas about her. even before the reveal of two exes, she already got favoritism allegation. but I don't think the PD intended to make her to receive the most love from the viewers. she was exposed to the main spotlight as the public's punching bag, that's how they wanted to promote the show.
and and cheating allegation doesn't seem logical to me.

coincidentally I also started to follow this show since the second season. I plan to re-watch it to detox my soul if this season is worse than the third season, lol.

She's set up to create more buzz. The PD is determined to create more drama. More negative feedbacks= good marketing. She's set up as the centre of attention, the female lead doesn't have to be someone who gets the most praises, especially for a show where the PD is craving for drama.

I'm sorry but saying she isn't the main character is denial. With two exes, the plot is revolving around her and she got more chances to have more screen times. Other participants with only 1 ex don't get the same chance of screentime like her.

Even without the 2 exes scenario, the PD already excluded other participants dates from the broadcast. Because it doesn't add drama.

Her chance of having a match in the last episode is higher with the existence of two exes, as she got more options than others. It's not fair for others. Of course this also applies to whoever male participant who invented 2 exes.

However the blame should be on the PD and the team. She could agree to have this scenario, but the PD and the team are the planners and the decision makers. They're the ones who put her in this situation. If it weren't her, it could be other participants. Because the idea to have 2 exes was planned on the chessboard. And I don't know if anyone is aware of actor Lee Yikyung's situation. It might be not an apple to apple situation to be compared. He was instructed to eat the noodles in an exaggerated way. His mistake was that he agreed to it, but it was the team who failed to see that it wasn't necessary. My point is that, Hyeonji's situation is scripted, and she shouldn't be blamed for this. The PD is the upper hand, and the one responsible for the show.

And as much as I'm not comfortable with the situation, I found the cheating allegation is too much. Other than cheating, there are so many other possibilities that can make someone hates another. And it's their right if both of them don't want to share the details of why they broke up. The PD is crazy but they couldn't be that insane to let a cheater in the show. as yoi already explained, they must have done a lot of researches. as much as I don't respect with PD's way of handling the show, I know they've worked so hard to gather the participants. if the rumour were true, then the PD turned this show like a garbage that can't be recycled.

that's my thought too. it was like he tried to find a reasonable excuse to convince himself that he wasn't the one who left first. he didn't want to be seen as the bad person in the relationship.

damn it I had a nightmare after watching ep 12 and reading the comments 😫 I usually only have nightmares after watching thrillers. but this dating show is no different than a thriller.

in my dream, a certain participant got a benefit. they'd give that person a card to reverse the tide of the plot. that card could be used as one's desires, like to steal a date or exchange dating partner or whatever they wanted.

I'm getting more anxious because I think the new PD really could go that far.

I hope it's not Jihyeon. things would be really weird you know. a guy who left his partner because he was at the lowest, that'd make him a coward. but a guy who left his gf because she was at the lowest, damn Idk how to call that. and currently Jihyeon has a stable job. let's say they got back together, and later she wanted to explore her potentials but he couldn't appreciate it. and I heard that WK and his friend are getting hate because of the last two episodes broadcast. it'd be super awkward and hard for Jihyeon they getting back together.

wow, in this episode WK seemed super obedient. but I forgot that he's a Thinker type. he might do some calculations based on how Jihyeon would accept him or not.

but if it's Jiyeon, then it'd upgraded his level of shamelessness. he took back something he already gave her only to pick her again is too shameless.

yes their talks are calmer compared to NY-HD. but do you see this pattern, the continuous "brainstorming" is similar to NY-HD late night bickering. they looked like they didn't agree with something but Jihyeon's brainstorming and NY-HD' quarrels will eventually make them reach to the point of agreement. that's what's worrying me.

although I forgot how NY-HD broke up, but I don't think I'd be able to reunite with an ex like WK. my ego would hurt like hell.

I really don't want JH and WK to become like NY and HD from season 2. but it looks like JH already got WK within her grasp. in my wild imagination WK even kowtow to her and said "alright your majesty" for whatever she said. but I could be wrong, WK was getting swayed both sides, lol.

the second hand embarassment I had for WK this episode tho 😭😭 😭 😭 if I were him, 10 years later, on a random night I'd scream from inside the blanket when out of nowhere I recalled about how embarassing it was to take it back again. arrrrghhhh!

I mostly read romance like YA and dystopian. Sometimes I read poetry, and relationship related books like from Najwa Zebian.

This year, I'm into reading historical fiction as I enjoy watching historical drama too. I recently found a korean-american author, June Hur. And I just started to read chinese webnovels that are adapted into dramas.

But my all time favourite is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, the kind of book that woke something in me when I read it.
