Funny scenes and great Keaw character + Pat acting mixed with horrible writing/plot. It is a must to skip 80% of drama if you do not want to become crazy.
Family of torturers - half brother, half sister, stepmother, father. They gang up to lock the girl in closet, do not give the food/water several days. Even lock her in cage with animals. Beat out the sh*t of her everyday (slaping, pushing, cursing). And do it probably for ¬20 years. For no reason, just for own satisfaction. Until girl commits suicide. And they should be forgiven because they are her family??? There is no excuses for being psychopath. But here it is displayed that father actually is good person, but he was given wrong information. Wtf? How good person he is? He left his humanity then began torturing in such horrible way. Not adult, but young girl, his own daughter. He is not behave like human why karma laws should applied to him?
Lamest excuses to force guy to engagement - hersay that he forced the kiss, ripped her clothes etc, while nothing happened. Again wtf?
It would be good if evil people displayed not as good
Drama about two crazy people. One is total psycho, stalks and abuses her for no reason. Another is without brain allow this behavior and does not reports to police neither tries to protect herself though she feels scared. At least she verbally could protect herself, tell father friends, but none of that happens. She just waits till probably be raped. Most unreasonable behavior by both leads ever seen.
It is sad because many side characters are realistic, best friends, mentally ill sister etc. Idea of story is great, writing of side stories is good, production and acting is good. This drama has everything except both lead characters. They sacrificed these characters just to suit story. Dropped it.
Synopsis is wrong. Series is centered about stupid company. 80% of screen time is business talk. Lead guy, his family and his enemies only care about shares of that company. Lead guy does not change and till the end he sees that business is more important than people or relationship. His character does not grow through series and never learns how to divert attention or even prioritize his time. Lead female character grows too quickly.
After firs few episodes it becomes boring, though watched it all. Kinda regret it. There were so many bad acting scenes in last episodes. Last episode beyond terrible. The only positive thing - second lead guy and female lead in some scenes there she is not shouting in annoying voice.
Worst case slap/kiss ever seen. He beats her when she was fake pregnant, rapes her numerous times, usually beating before rape, he literally with hands beats her up to death situation while she miscarriages their baby. Not soft palm slaps but beats with strength. He killed his own baby by his hands (usually only both evil characters end with this karma). She was in bad shape before his last beating, but she was walking, talking etc. Later writers somehow change that he was not reason of miscarriage, but by every law he should. If they wanted that way, they should change beating sequence that he was not the last one beating her.
He does not accept her importance until he knows her true background, even then he realizes she was virgin. If she had bad background (parents) he would like her to remain his mistress/prostitute till the end as he directly asks her to be hidden in the house for rest of her life. There is zero excuses that he was manipulated, was in pain or something. He does just because he is in shame of himself.
He does not have good heart or good deeds neither for family neither for closest friends neither for community. He treated half-brother, uncle-in-law, best friend doctor, 10-year fiance like all there beneath of him and didn't care about them. His fiance was especially happy that saw his true colors and was not too late to cancel engagement. Even some subordinates agree that he is psycho not in funny way. He respected only his father and first love and some grandma. Then unhappy he constantly drinks till falls or crashes car. He is not respectable businessman, as you see how secretaries treats him. He had good qualities only once he was teenager in school, till his father married his lover. But overall more years (19 vs 18), actually all adult years he lives like terrible monster.
After she escapes his torture by surviving near death experience, he calls her betrayer till the end. Every time when meets "Honey" he moves her physically (holds arm, pushes etc.) like an object of his possession. There is no sentence in all drama that he acknowledges her feelings or thinks from her perspective. Most disgusting protagonist male character ever seen.
And in the end "she must fall in love with him" because he repents 10 minutes with puppy eyes. I do not see how kneeling has any importance, because here shows that kneeling in repent scale equals like 5 years in prison .
Also there is no romance, because he is 10/14 episodes in love with his step mom. After love ends he treats her like total trash without reason again (he does not know what wrong she did). And after I watched after 10 episode every minute I angrier got even that could not finish drama without skipping. Half episode he pleads love about Kwan, next minute he wants Rot back and is jealous of his uncle-in-law. This his wishy washy is even 12/14 episode. There is only 14 episode that he loves her through full episode.
This drama has no entertainment value. Not a little bit comparing to other slap/kiss. Just wanted to see how far writers/producers will go. I would like to see faces of people involved in airing this horror and putting under romance category. I would like to hear their "reasons".
Kwan character was charming only few scenes in the beginning, but this potential was wasted through all drama. Sometimes she was strong, sometimes totally doormat, sometimes smart, sometimes totally dumb, there is no deep reasons why her character is so. It was acted just scene by scene to suit plot no correlation in between.
Acting and writing are so bad that it is so funny. I do not know why but it was watchable and entertaining, though everything is terrible, maybe because it was not draggy and full of action.
Great drama. Janie is at the best, very pretty and seducing. Her character symbolizes perfect woman. Ken's character is disappointing itself, but his acting was amazing. Drama kinda feels like Pretty Woman within Asian value system plus fairytale elements. Plot is new and fresh from these copy pasta Thai dramas.
Ending was not satisfactory. First of all too draggy - series should be max 10 episodes. Break up conflict was too messy and reconciliation was unreasonable and irritating with back and forth. I know such type drama should end in Prague again, but they could find better reasons.
I would like to disagree with other commentators about Bua revenge. I think she was not b*** enough, because revenge is too soft. Like criminal should not be pardoned from jail, creditor should collect their debts. She does not use power in wrong way. Just simple informs through third party.
Look at Ran's character - in the beginning he is very weak and it stays through the series. He gets easily manipulated by outside opinions. He knows mothers gambling situation but chooses to escape overseas for diplomats career. He does not look after his sister and family's financial situation though he is family head. He leaves these problems until they become disastrous. Look how even he treats fiancee-to-be Aom like he is center of universe. Just for his own satisfaction he has the right if he will like her or not, but he sleeps with another woman Bua in next room. These two women for him are less worth than the old rag. Then he comebacks only distributes debts (borrows from someone else), but does not even try to fix the problem - mothers gambling addiction. He is too weak to sell the house, to teach his mom. He has good intentions but no strength to fulfill that. He has no man qualities, just spoiled prince/boy.
Look at what Bua does. She teaches him how to think for himself, stand for his own opinion, how to prioritize his life, how to take a risk, gives him everything and in return he just shoves her away. Even her revenge helps him greatly - eventually mother give ups gambling, he finally understands value of people and their feelings, he finally forgets his pride for the things he needs for survival. Janie makes him from spoiled boy towards manhood. He remains boy, but still attempt is evident.
The most disappointing moments are how he wrongly tries to reconcile with her. He is so weak that he does it only because he was encouraged by his sister, mom, etc. He has no strength to fight for his love. Another thing he every time chooses wrong words to say sorry. Every woman should felt more angrier after his "sorry" attempts, because they came with goal in mind to not feel ashamed anymore but not for both understanding/empathy and betterment of future relationship. And then result was not successful he easily gave up. As viewer I expected he will show his growth as character through these "sorry" attempts, but rather it showed that Bua's teachings did not made him grow at all and he remained weakling/loser. Ken acted this part really well.
Reconciliation happens then Bua accepts that Ran will not grow neither their relationship will not develop further. She must accept the role of prostitute/server to the prince - how they relationship began and fix any issues behind his back. But she gets what she dreamed naive, not mature but true love. Though as viewer I felt true love only from second pair, and actually this pair was more entertaining for me.
Amazing mature drama with great writing and acting. It is build at high quality and deserves even better rating. Tough in some scenes for me Andrew was too weird and Matt too sweet. Overall they were really great and it is one of the best recent dramas.
I especially liked that this drama had modern thing - Kusuma character who is communication specialist. It is very unusual in Thai dramas, rather dramas are build on miscommunication. Here some scenes had teaching aspect about communication importance. For that are usually only Korean dramas are praised.
Grandma Lamoot character is amazing too, though had a little screen time.
In this drama many dialogues have deep meaning and I will definitely rewatch this drama several times.
In his defence, Yo had suffered a miscarriage scare and was still in some pain and Chat was worried for HER and…
To Alice Chad did not decided to not save her and watch her die. It was opposite. He tried to save her, but he was too late under circumstances. It was directly said in dialogue after that scene. Another thing the scene was build that he tries to save her, if producers decided differently then would be long stare watching her die or something. You misunderstood whole situation. He did nothing wrong.
This is really great slow paced drama. Most important about production (camera angles, soundtrack, pace, writing, acting) that does not feel like every other lakorn. This drama has international vibe and its quality is amazing. It should have much better ratings. I recommend it to everyone.
I liked the most how many side characters were realistic and they had great quality dialogues. Every word had it's meaning. There are no one sided characters just to spite lead characters and their emotions, f.e. just to bring jealousy, or do harm. Every character had their own reasons, their own storyline. It is the most deep in characters thai drama I have ever seen. For me it is one of the best written asian drama.
I think low ratings are because of Amawasee character, because through all drama she does not think for herself and only does that she is obliged to. Even sells herself just to get the house. Add to that she always complain and thinks she is the most right person in the room. She thinks she is right then she contradicts herself. She never asks questions what actually happened, but asks some weird philosophical questions and draws her own conclusion. Her character is really hateful as the lead, there is no charming characteristic at all. It is sad that she does not grow or changes through all drama (last 15 mins does not count). I could say her character got even worse through drama, she become less and less likeable. Even though her character is written+acted very realistically, it is not suitable for the lead in this drama. It is hard to feel any romance through her character. If producer changed her character a little bit it would been one of greatest thai dramas.
Her uncle political and medical business storyline was very boring and skipped it all. It had no impact to the drama, but their dialogues filled with unnecessary details
Also that fake ending did so much harm to this drama. One of the worst endings for quality drama, because it sacrificed (their actions became unreasonable) so many side characters just to fit ending. It happened because of Amawasee character, the only solution left was to jump in time to show that she grown into better.
Nonsense acting/writing. What is written in synopsis, logical expectations are far from met. I expected that amnesia confused guy will get thrown loads of anger towards him, but none of that happens. Just people trying to trick him. At 3 episode lead girl should be angry due to brothers death but here she acts like teenager girl teased by friend. Feels like everything is fake from start of drama. Script idea was great to make unique drama, but actually it is poorly developed that everything feels nonsensical.
I do not understand why father had happy ending. He is reason for everything bad happened. He is most evil character in story. First brings club singer as secret wife. Does not love his son. After son disappears lies to everyone just to hide the shame of having secret wife. When son returns he instigates to remove Nid from son's life. Without his approval Su could not harm Nid. Eventually physically abuses his secret wife. Zero good qualities through drama, just loser who has good parents name and always have evil intentions till the end. Karma should bite him back. At least get shot or something
There is no consistency from several characters and in some parts bad writing. But nonetheless this was quite entertaining drama.
Story and writing is ok. Acting bad, but acceptable. Many skipable parts. Surprising ending. No rape. Overall actually not so bad drama, because then I skip so much it was over just in 5 hours.
Here all poor people are very stupid. It irritates too much.
This drama has enormous plot hole - the part the Doc was killed. It was murder not accident as how writers imply. If you are involved in fight and one guy accidentally dies you are charged for murder in every country I know. It does not matter that your intent was, it just differentiates severity of punishment. Here Doc is overthrown over balcony. Mek tries to catch him with hands to save him. After few minutes holding eventually he falls down. It is murder not accident.
This lakorn is rare gem. It is really great up to few episodes in the end. It has western dramas vibe, especially because there is no association with rape, no forced kiss, no overjealous boyfriends/girfriends. Also the most outstanding thing in lakorn world that lead couple had open communication and teamwork through all the series. Nikki character is very unique and really enjoying to watch it.
But in the end it (last two and a half episodes) came back to all thai lakorn bullsh*t - rape and forgiveness and fake breakup. Because every terrible thing happened was caused by one guy actions. He raped, made girl mentally ill by continuously threatening and abusing her, he constantly escalated feud between families, killed people. His actions destroyed many people loves because they were obstacles for him. Hatred between families helped him but this was not the cause. Moral of this story should be that biased hatred can be easily used by some evil guy to hurt you. This was lost in the end, because of bullsh*t of forgiveness. How he can be forgiven I do not understand, because he was evil of the story and did not understood what he did wrong till the end.
Oh that mother... I probably will punch screen. I do not remember when I felt so angry during drama.
Lead guy stupidity through the roof. Total douche. At first was total mama boy, Lied that he is dead, made his lover suicidal and her life became as constant torture, then 10 years later comeback make her crazy by deceiving and completely humiliating her, then asked for reconciliation while holding current girlfriends hand. At least take care of current one before
Anne's character is in deep depression as she repeats countless time while talking with Songyot "My life is worthless". Really her life is really pitiful from birth till the end of series - birth-father left, adoptive fathers relatives abused, mother abused, love life with non-blood cousin, lovers mother abuse, self quilt imposed by lover, public defamation because of jealousy, alcoholic mother selling her daughter, being non-sexual way mistress and in the abuse and deception of love. Looking only at the facts you cannot blame her becoming addict and suicidal. Anne plays it really well.
Overall it is really great drama, amazing dialogues and acting, great characters expect lead guy. Ending was rushed horribly.
Basis of story and synopsis are great. But production is disappointing. Leads have almost zero screen time and romance is not found. Most of the time is about dudes measuring d*cks, therefore too much unimportant dialogues and it is very draggy overall.
Chuck's character is boring and very irritating, he is so noble idiot that helps outsiders more than himself or his own sister. Most disappointing relationship between him and sister. There is no reason shown why he helps his friend so much.
Don is worst friend of all time and disgusting character who is on "good side".
Tawan is very unimportant character. Most of the drama she is just the object for guys to compete. Then she starts to make own decisions they are very childish, unreasonable and very stupid. She does not grow up to the end nor become smarter. Overall her character is unexplored and could have more screen time with lead guy.
The most likeable relationship for me is Don parent's as a best ever evil couple. They treat themselves equally, have open communication, plan together, are not possessive, do not quarrel or curse each other but playfully tease. Furthermore they know how to enjoy their lives. Just they are bad parents. Their ending is so lovable.
This story has huge potential to make it great drama, because it can have elements of forbidden love, lifetime friendship, modern family (evil parents), romantic love between young girl and mature tough businessman (Leh Ratree), not repetitive plot, etc. Will wait for remake.
