The emperor hear is random. He has no say in the crown prince's marriage? Anle comes on so strong for someone…
I find it super hard to believe the emperor has no control over his kids. Lol. Maybe it's just the author. I watch a lot of palace dramas and it's just unheard of.
I'm glad it's just a guise. I like when she's serious and smart.

Anle comes on so strong for someone seeking revenge against her "nemesis." Why does she put on this front? Will she stop eventually it's lowkey cringe to me lol.

You are right the casting seems off to me. Guo Jing is too good looking and both sets of parents seem too young. Lol..but that's just me..I like the homage to 1983 version with the soundtrack. Iconic
I’ve started to translate all of the 1983 Condor songs into English on my YouTube channel at - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLiwaNTAFmvQh4IDX8HfhO3E3S-9fljkrm
Maybe I can offer you a little explanation why it is so. Have you ever heard of "foil character"? Foil character…
I literally to this day swoon over Michael Miu. Loved the 1983 version. I'm on watching this adaption because he's starring in it. And I love how this version paid homage with the intro song!
I'm going to try give this adaption a try because I LOVE the 1983 version (my ultimate favorite). Fun fact Michael Miu was the Yang Kang in the 1983 version, he's Eastern Heretic in this version.
I am only on EP 27 and this drama is awesome compared to some of the newer wuxia drama I watched.
This is a true classic adapted from Wuxia books of Jin Yong. The universe he created is massive. Thats why there been so many adaptions through the years
Kwok Jing is really known for him advancing martial arts quickly vs his brains lol. He did grow up in the plains and didnt have formal education

Apparently this actress was the original Naksu, they just set her aside and made us wait for her but yes the personality…
She was in control because JBY was dormant. But I guess when she activated the soul stone, JBY came out and then her jumping into the lake and going into a coma.
Loved it but they did Naksu so badstarting from changing the actress ending with changing her personality
Apparently this actress was the original Naksu, they just set her aside and made us wait for her but yes the personality change was uncalled for. At the same time I get there was two souls and both were confused. Just yikes
