I'm stucked here for 1 year ... I'm still reading the coments and rewatching the episodes ... Loving this drama…
S1 is wayyyyy better. It was definitely a different plot and storyline..the concept is interesting and the chemistry between the leads was really good. S2 was disappointing

I don’t know why, but I really can’t stay interested in this. Not sure why though. It has some decent acting…

I better not see any Chang Heng slander in the comments >.>
I liked him. But he did lose cool points. He went from cool, mighty immortal to peanut butter and jealous chaos. I didn't like that.

I'm on episode 6 and I'm wondering why do both the obese women have it in for the imperial chef? It looks like…
The one in the kitchen later becomes her friend. She was just peanut butter and jealous as first that someone new was coming into her kitchen.

The other imperial lady was just chaos the whole show.

Ronghao tells his master Lady Chidi that his mortal desire was selfishly wanting her to be alive and by his side.…
Oh I didn't mean Chidi was in love with the boy version of Ronghao. I mentioned loved because Ronghao mentioned her story and "fate" had such terrible love and timing like was she in love this whole time? I do like your answer about just wanting to bring him back to life. It must be painful to be an immortal and you can't even save a small child.

Mortal desires.....
Ronghao tells his master Lady Chidi that his mortal desire was selfishly wanting her to be alive and by his side. I'm assuming it stems from love, greed and selfishness (since immortals are supposed to steer away from mortal desires). She replies that the day she saved him, she also was affected by mortal desires. I wonder what her motive was? Was she really in love with someone, DF? OR maybe she wanted to be a mom?

Clap clap. I'm on episode 30. And lots of growth!
So happy with Orchid. Everyone rags on her childish voice..but when Lord Changheng takes her to her tribes decrepit land. She says she feels sadness but also feels for the widows and orphans of Moon Tribe and opts to forgive vs. harboring more hatred. Typical writing would make her start to hate DF and break them apart for the next few episodes over her origin.

It's so weird when they're in the mortal realm.... Lol
Because of DF knows Xiao Run is Lord Changheng. But XR is so naive and likes DF

Is it me.... Or....
Episode 16-17 orchid spins DFQ's childhood trauma and disregards how he feels. She's like oh nooooo, your dad did this to protect you. Let me go revive abusive dead daddy so he can tell you himself. She wild lol. I hope this works out how she planned and that the dad isn't evil as DF remembers lol

My first Netflix /Kdrama. It bad. I second a lot of peoples opinions that say part two was so bad. I grew to love the first actress that was Mo Deuk so seeing Uk kiss JBY in part two was not welcomed graciously by me lol.
