Honestly, Revenant is the closest thing that I can reco that I really loved. I did watch a few that were good/I liked, but not as much as The Guest. On top of my head: - The Wailing (movie) - Hometown (psych thriller/cult theme/a bit eerie) - Priest (possession, exorcism)
I've been disappointed by recent releases in this genre but was pleasantly surprised with this one. I loved the cast, the acting and the storyline. I appreciated the folklore. Wasn't prepared for the twists, so it felt amazing to experience this while watching. The last drama that sucked me in was The Guest (2018). Glad to be able to watch another quality one!
Just started, interesting so far. But why does the main lead look so old but behave like an junior detective?
Had the same thoughts when I started watching the drama. His behavior in the initial episodes were not even in line with his profession especially considering he's part of the Violent Crimes Unit but it's not as distracting once the plot gets moving.
Binged watched this drama in 2 days. Loved the acting and how interesting some of the elements were. I liked how they connected the characters both from the past and the present. It had the potential to be amazing but the last few episodes felt a bit off and confusing. It could have ended differently. It felt rushed or maybe they had different ideas for the ending and tried their best to just merge everything. I wanted for it to end with a bang and with a tighter plot but I'll still recommend this drama but better put expectations aside.
Hahaha I've noticed this a lot with Chinese actress, not just Wan Peng. I think maybe it's a cultural thing? Maybe…
I think it depends on the actor and the actress. I've watched series with really great kissing scenes e.g. You Are My Glory, Love is Sweet, Pleasr Feel At Ease Mr. Ling, Love Scenery, Falling Into Your Smile, etc.
How long has it been since I've watched a great romance drama? I was eagerly waiting for this to air because of Dilraba and Yang Yang. This definitely exceeded my expectations. My cheeks hurt from smiling too much whenever I watched this. Such a healthy, mature, fun and passionate couple. Perfect chemistry, the banters, heart fluttering gaze and kisses. I loved how independent they are in their careers yet deeply connected with each other. Great pacing and no forced romantic scenes. It's so refreshing to watch. I understood the motivation of the characters and how everything was carefully taken into consideration. I can go on and on about this drama and enumerate why I love Qiao Jingjing and Yu Tu but pretty sure everyone who watched can understand why. Hoping that the rating of the drama gets higher.
i wonder how yall move on.. im still bawling my eyes out everytime think about this drama.. anyone can suggest…
Before ALP, I would highly suggest Love and Redemption and Ashes of Love but frankly, I'm not sure if you'll be able to love them as much if you started with this gem š
Me too AOL is my favorite xianxia and ALP has surpassed it in my heart. I can't move on yet, I'm still obsessed…
True that. I didn't even think I could find another xianxia that I'd really love and then ALP comes along. I forgot to mention how I never skipped the opening credits of the drama. It's so magical and beautiful plus again the soundtrack.
Iām still having a hard time moving on from this drama. š It was my first time watching Zhou Dongyu and her…
Highly agree with Xu Kai's acting and Zhou Dong Yu is such a gem. Re-watching the drama made me appreciate them even more. Even though it felt bittersweet to re-watch some parts, I appreciate the depth of their love for each other no matter which lifetime they're in. Would have wanted a bit more from the ending but I was still satisfied overall.
I loved Ashes of Love and Love and Redemption but I absolutely fell hard for ALP. I've been rewatching it even though I literally just finished this. So much emotion and the quality of the soundtrack. Happy to see that the rating of this drama is higher. I know there are others who got bored the first several episodes (Wasn't the case for me. EP 1 already got me hooked) I adore Xu Kai and was initially hesitant when I found out Zhou Dong Yu was the female lead but glad that I set aside my hesitation and watched this. I laughed, I cried, I was heartbroken and then relieved. The feelings I have for Qing Mu and Houchi. Hope more people would give this one a chance.
Happy that Kim Yoo Jung finally had the chance to appear as a guest but a bit sad that Yeo Jin Goo isn't part of the 2nd season. I was looking forward to seeing them together again screen.
I quite loved this mostly due to the cast and their acting. I think everyone can agree that Nam Goong Min is absolutely fantastic. It was a decent drama with enough suspense and action however, I believe it had the potential to be amazing. This may not be for everyone but I personally enjoyed it.
"Voice 4" will premiere on tvN in June 2021. And the 'Voice' series is excluded from the OCN original.https://sports.donga.com/article/all/20210514/106925923/1
Thank you for answering! And yes, it doesn't really matter to me as well. I was just curious after seeing similar discussions on Facebook. Looking forward to the new season of Voice.
It was a fun and entertaining series. Loved Song Joong Ki as Vincenzo. Episodes could've been lesenned to 16 instead of 20. When I saw the trailer, I was actually hoping to see Episode 16 Vincenzo the whole time. I think it would've been amazing to see more scenes like that since they've always highlighted the things that he was capable of doing.
- The Wailing (movie)
- Hometown (psych thriller/cult theme/a bit eerie)
- Priest (possession, exorcism)
