Title City of Romance Spoiler
Started watching as a result of a tiktok video and took me by surprise how much I actually liked it. as others said before, good character development, healthy relationships, no nasties apart from the bully. I would have liked one or two more episodes to just see their day to day life after him being famous and maybe a meet up between the parents, etc as I felt the end was just wrapping things up quickly without much details. all.in all, for me it was worth to watch but I like light hearted, easy to watch series ☺️

Title Love Rain
I've just dived into the older k dramas, they do have a different feel for sure than the current ones. I did really like this, however I do agree with the comments of it being a bit draggy. I loved the parents story, the whole set up, the 3 second love, the music, it was a drama on its own. I liked the new set up as well, very different, fast paced start that was maintained for a few episodes then it turned to melodrama, which was beuatifully executed, leaving us crying most of the time. It was not too reasonable if i want to be honest, like would people not just talk and tell whats on their minds? on the other hand we wouldnt bave had a drama if they did :)). Hye-Jung, huh she was a serious case of mental issues. no way in hell she would turn 180 within a year even with the best therapist in the world, that was very unexpected. I didn't particularly like the end, after all that dragging of sadness, it was just quickly wrapping up most of the story lines giving a wedding to the main young couple. they could have spent a little more time on the parents, and really they could have at least built in some therapies to Yoons mums life. I also appreciated how the parents and the older generation stayed in the character they were when they were younger, for me it was totally believable that it was the coupld from.the 70s just older. Definity worth to watch.

I just finished watching this at the end of 2024. I totally loved it, binged it in 2 days! it's cringe, it's old style, feels like a low budget drama compared to the current ones but it just draws you in and you want more. I had laugh out loud moments, feet kicking moments. No 2nd ML syndrome for me, i quite liked the first ML, i really liked the dynamics in the group. plenty of overplaying, but for some reason it's not bothersome at all. I am quite a new k drama watcher, only started about 2 years ago and the oldest one I've seen was Cinderella and thr 4 knights. I will definitely watch more older ones, any suggestions, similar to this?

Thank you for your comment. It's great that there are like-minded people. To be honest, I didn't expect anyone…
oh, I couldn't agree more with the both of you! I find annoying that everyone is now associating California Dreaming with what I could call pure boredom. i just cannot get to like it, I was so looking forward to this given the hype around it, but I'm still working through episode 8 and to be honest, I'd much rather just watch pretty much anything else. I find the FL annoying, if ML visuals were not there I doubt this drama could spark any interest 😅 So far it's confusing, annoying and boring. i don't drop dramas often, but it's looking like that. might come back to it at some point, but feels like a waste of 3 hours....
