idky the ML doesn't suit his character, his acting is so awkward... the story also became a bit awkward combined…
I dont think we watch the same drama. I really dont see anything wrong with Chen Feiyu's portrayal of the young and cocky general, who is absolutely head over heels over Si Mu. He is totally awesome in this role. where do you see him being awkward, out of curiosity? I mean there is an element of sheepishness in his behaviour, but I wouldn't call it awkward.

Such a lovely drama with amazing families and friends, you just want to be part of it. Smiled ear to ear and cried with them. This was perfectly written and executed, such a gem! I didnt really see it marketed though, it felt like it was similarly just dropped like 12 letters. Hope it performed well in China and the cast got their well deserved praise. 10/10 for me. Highly recommended drama. Oh, and the OST! it was also beautiful, lots of catchy little melodies.

Ig he doesnโ€™t remember exactly how the accident happened and he still has gotten all his memory back which is…
I disagree. right, its kdrama and all, but every normal person would have told her that aaa I actually know you, i used my room mates laptop and messaged you heaps, and you helped me in the darkest of my life. he knows this for sure. he knows he sent the pen, I think lying about it way worse then tell her the fragments he remembers. At this point he is not not told her but actually lied, and that does not go down well for me.

People overlook the fact that he canโ€™t just tell her when his memories are still fragmented.
I disagree. right, he doesn't know everything I know.but he knows he stepped in and used his rommates laptop and messaged her for weeks. he also sent the pen to her, he could have easily told her at least these.

I don't think I care for the main couple anymore, I disliked how he just doesn't tell anything to HaRan. luckily i do care about the second couple and YuGyeom and Hadam, who are honestly seem to be the most mature couple in the whole bunch, I really like how they dont hang around just clearly tell each other what they feel. Hats down HaYeong as well, I do like her. I am also intrigued by grandma and what is going on with her. There are defo stuff to unpack but for the love of god, Chan just grow some back and tell everything to Haram, please?

I have started but only at the beginning, so not sure if I carry on once the drama concludes.

I reckon he wants the imperial grandson on the throne, rightfully so. Emperor is not a character who built sympathy with thr audience. I dont think he is particularly young though, maybe he was a teen when getting on thr throne?

i can still follow the story despite the obvious sudden rush with the pacing but boy oh boy ep 30 is a mess
I could not agree more! if felt like lots were missing between some of the scenes, the changes were sudden, so i suppose this is where they cut some of the book to fit the 40 eps. (didnt read the book but seems everyone worries how everything will fit... )

I get the writers are being creative but unless all the swords have had first blood before its last fire - then…
apparently they used to use dog blood or something. someone was saying that this is how it was in the book. if you google, its part of Chinese folklore.

No but do ancient Chinese war headgear really look like that? Xie Zhengโ€™s entry scene was supposed to look cool…
apparently its the Monkey King and this is the style from Beijing Opera.

Totally agree. Her blue ribbon did get her thinking though, wish we've seen the thought process there, but again I think she is just preoccupied with other things to really think hard how the ribbon got back to her and who her husband really is.

I've not seen all the comments as was busy catching up with the drama, but shout out to the actor playing Sui Yuanqing, the heir apparent of Prince Chang Xin. He is only 19 and pulls the blood thirsty psychopath role really well.
This drama is a hit as ALL characters are cast and played so well, they all seem to have a quite developed background story and I dont think there is any scene so far I wanted to fast forward as I'm not interested in, which happens in 95% of dramas.
