we still have some time with Glory especially that it'll rever to 1 eps a day soon, no? also, Shine is not out for me in iQIYI, I have a few more days to go (not paying express on WE TV)

so turns out iQIYI only released 2 eps. kinda glad, unclouded is out full blast so there is a lot to go through 😁

there were some comments earlier that this is to do with the fact its a CCTv production so they would cut it anyway if it was 'inappropriate' for younger viewers.

is it not performing better in China than the Glory? which is also very good i have to say. I dont get the fast release to be honest, seems they just want to get done and dusted with, what's coming after this? as much as I am enjoying binging the episodes, I think i prefer 2 eps a day especially when there are multiple good dramas out at the same time. and I agree. the story line and story telling is amazingly well done.

It's very different though, not sure where you're getting the similarity from apart from both being xianxia and ML is the same. The set up, the plot, story line, everything is very different, the dynamic is very different between the leads as well, I don't think I would compare the 2 to be honest.
I was just thinking... is it the loss of their power that is similar?

aww I see. funny though as I remember now when my brother once said, hmmm I think your birth years girls are now working for me (he was the same as HL ML, never once looked at any of my friends) and proceeded to marry his wife who is 3 months older than me (we were in our twenties by this, so nothing creepy).

oh the age gap n3ver bothered me, maybe as its done nicely, ML never considered her a potential partner until adult, and I think it came across well. I also have older brothers and I think its a younger sister's life as your older brothers friends are always around and surely there are at least one good looking amongst them 😊. my brothers are also 5 and 7 years older than me so HL I think just brought me back lots of fond memories.

I dont think I am the target audience for any of these, haha! i dont know what it is in Hidden love, maybe that it was apart from some weird ones, one of the first C Dramas I watched, but it has a special place in my heart. I did like The First Frost, but I dont think i rewatch it anytime soon, Yifan had such a horrible upbringing that it's not easy to just casually rewatch. I dont know if I explain it well enough, I think its a lot heavier than HL. (that very well could be the reason why people like it more)

oh thank you, no i think its ok for me. I find it strange though how certain dramas are promoted left right and center - speed and love for example kept on coming up on my feeds, whereas I see nothing on these at all. seems they just leave some dramas to go own their own and if people find it somehow good, if not l, they're not bothered?
