No. Japan just doesn't see the need to expand and mostly continues to focus on its domestic market. Some services…
Also... let's face it, lots of newer fans won't bother watching something unless it's easily accessible via a streaming service that's already on their TV or other device. They can't be bothered to hunt down raws & subs, which cuts out a fair chunk of J-dramas (not as many as in previous years, but still quite a few).

If I hadn't been watching with a group of friends I would've dropped this by ep2. I just didn't feel any chemistry between any of the couples, especially the main one. I don't understand why Grass Mochi & Lemon (their chat names) felt this strong bond since their online exchanges were pretty superficial & banal from what we were shown. One of the reviews above mentioned they felt it was too long and I definitely agree-- I might've liked this more if they'd trimmed down or even removed the side couples (who were not that compelling either and dragged the story out that much longer) and kept it to like 6 eps.

I'm on episode 2 and struggling to care. I don't know if it's *this* show in particular or if I'm finally burned out on shows that focus on eating food (not running a restaurant, not even preparing the food themselves, just eating it). I get that they're popular (I guess?) and probably pretty cheap & easy to make, but there are so many of them now that I'm bored with the same thing over and over again, with only a slight twist. Can't wait for this trend to taper off in J-drama.

I've got nothin. I can spoil it for you in one sentence, if you want. Honestly so little happens that episode…
Same. I would've loved these scenes if I'd been even *slightly* invested in these characters or their relationships but the writing made that impossible.

I agree-- I really enjoyed Be Loved in House but I'm a little underwhelmed by P&M.

Maybe because other shows have been mentioning same sex marriage in more impressive way ! Btw Im Glad you enjoy…
...and in a more organic, natural way. Not as a bit of dialogue that feels tacked on.

I feel this is one of the rare cases where the secondary couple drags the show down. I mean they went from complete…
I wasn't sure they actually had sex either, I got the impression Yuki is... teasing him (?) for not remembering, while still using it as an way to pursue a relationship. Honestly though I was starting to get thriller movie vibes with how he was getting all touchy-feely and acting too intimate when the laundry guy is clearly uncomfortable. Like he was gonna move in, take out insurance on him & the business, and then a tragic fire would spell the demise of both ...or maybe the actor who plays Yuki isn't emoting very effectively. I still wanna brush his hair like a pony though.

I'm currently watching the last ep and I don't understand how anything can be so boring and yet so exhausting at the same time. I just had to stop and check how much of the episode was left and I'm only halfway through it god help me ...wait I don't need god, I just remembered I have a bottle of vodka in the freezer.

I think they are building NueaSyn for their own drama maybe
You've got an excellent point.

Here's how I wish the show actually went:-Kuea's family is going bankrupt so they ask Lian's family for help.…
I agree. Honestly, this is kinda what I was genuinely expecting in the beginning, specifically the middle paragraph-- that they'd start out either indifferent or antagonistic, with all these misconceptions about one another, and gradually get to know (and fall in love with) the real person. I probably would've loved it. But instead we got this strange "I know what's best for you"-style relationship.

Here I thought that Yi might start treating Diao as an adult (maybe even an equal partner-- no? too much to ask?) since he, y'know, ****** him on the couch. But no. 9pm curfew. idk why but even with all the other things going on, that somehow felt the worst.

Other than that, the NuerSyn development felt super-abrupt but ngl I don't even care, I loved it. Highlight of the episode, but I've come to expect that.

Let's take what some folks are saying (the "if you don't like it, drop it"/"if you keep watching it anyway, you must be hate-watching" approach) out to its logical conclusion.

Take the premise: "If someone doesn't like a show, they should quit watching it." I think most people do exactly that of their own accord. Still, if they leave a less-than-glowing comment (or worse yet, an official series review) based on that partial watch, it's easy to dismiss their opinion (esp. if you already don't like it) because "they only watched X episodes and didn't see the full story."

Yet if they *keep* watching despite misgivings about earlier episodes, they are irrational "hate-watchers" and their opinion is dismissed for *that* reason.

Using this approach to criticism, the only "legit" reviews will be left by... other fans. Everyone with negative comments can be dismissed as either a Dropper (i.e. uninformed) or a Hater (i.e. irrational). See how that attitude might be a problem? It makes it very easy to ignore the issues brought up by negative criticism, which of course is your right to do (I do it myself for some shows!) but please don't imply people are somehow wrong for bringing them up in the first place.

I usually access it through "My Lists" --> "Watching". I find MDL's search function to be... not the most reliable tbh.

I wish we'd been shown how/why Murai fell for Tanaka in the first place, even if it were just via flashbacks. As it stands now it's too "insta-love" for me to really enjoy.

I wonder if the folks in the neighboring apartment heard me yell "WHAT THE F**K" when Kuea, after a restless night worrying about what he's *just* discovered about Lian's dealings, is asked by Lian to be his bf and he SMILES and says yes. I even went back and doublechecked that I didn't watch the parts out of order.
Also re: the sex scenes (all of them, not just ep10's): I feel that ideally they should serve the plot, not the other way around, and be the proverbial "frosting on the cake". But this show has failed to make the foundational "cake" that the frosting should be sitting on (which for me is a couple in which I'm emotionally invested and want to see succeed), and just straight-up eating a bowl of frosting is... not appealing imo.
