I guess I am one of the few who was kinda hoping for a King & Kylie pairing. I'm a bit perplexed why they hinted at it in earlier eps just to ignore it later.
I was wondering the same thing. The one-line synopsis of the title on the author's wiki page makes me think probably not (it seemed like kind of a spoiler-y if you're going into the story blind, so you've been warned).
Okay, this has been driving me crazy. Can anyone tell me what the melody of the trumpet fanfare in the beginning of ep1 is from (as the 2 main characters are walking up to the church)? It starts at 0:28 and goes up to 1:30. ( https://youtu.be/JxY5O-kk3FE?t=28 )
It's NOT the theme song for the show. I swear I've heard that exact melody before, except with lyrics. I can't remember if it's the theme to a different drama (that they "borrowed"), or a pop song, or what. It's so dang familiar, but I just can't put my finger on it for whatever reason.
I know it's some extra work, but maybe get aegisub (it's free) and fix the sub timing yourself? (it's very easy to do, though I suppose you'd also have to rip the raw video to watch it with the retimed subs through a non-streaming video player).
Does anyone know if K-dramas that are initially only on Viki usually end up on Netflix eventually? I desperately want to recommend this series to someone who likes zombie humor-type books but don't feel right asking them to sign up for yet another streaming service to see it.
Not my favorite but definitely not the worst thing I've seen... I gotta admit though, the repeated use of "baby" really started to grate on me. I usually don't like such pet names between partners, especially such cliched ones ("baby," "babe," anything referencing "sweet" or "sugar", etc.). Makes me think a guy is trying too hard to ingratiate himself, but in a really superficial way (or he just can't be bothered to remember his current partner's name and uses a generic name by default). But this may be something of a cultural difference-- I'm from the USA, and often male characters who call people "baby" are portrayed as being cheesy at best, and slimy at worst. So it's kinda hard for me to not think about that while watching this, even though Gav is not otherwise like that.
I finished episode 2 and i want her for real to not be the reincarnation of his first love and that he will love…
It's only 2 eps in so I figured it wouldn't hurt to read a spoiler, but if this is where they're going I'm not even gonna start watching (I'm sooo tired of this plot device).
I guess you have never seen a cat playing with a mouse ... Such comments are proof that people have lost any connection…
If I were standing out in the woods, yeah, of course it could be considered natural (you could argue that this was not really "natural", since it was probably arranged to be filmed, but whatever). But this is a drama on YouTube, not a nature documentary. Dramas don't usually show this kind of stuff (almost never, actually) and a lot of people get upset when they're shown even *fictionalized* violence against animals, let alone actual footage of it. So I just dropped a comment so if anyone was looking into the show they weren't blindsided by content they almost assuredly were not expecting in a drama. Lmao at the idea that I've somehow "forgotten how nature works."

What are you even talking about. I clearly said I was commenting mainly for other folks who would be taken aback by this, since it's not something that's usually shown in dramas. jfc
Cute article, but a small correction-- someone over at d-addicts did sub the last 4 eps of Blanket Cats earlier this year! Softsubs can be found there.
Hmm, I'd like to see Han Dong as a lead again . . .
This is *exactly* how I found myself here. I've never seen him as a lead (I haven't watched that many C-dramas until relatively lately) but I'm watching Under the Power and he keeps catching my eye, even though his character is, uh, well... Anyway, so here I am, shopping for a drama where he's playing a better person.
Avistaz has some in 1080p, but this site is invite only. I joined the site last year but not sure when they will…
As long as we're dropping site names there's also Nyaa, which has a lot of the same Jdramas as AvistaZ. Then all you need to do is grab your subs (if it's not already hardsubbed) from, say, d-addicts. It's actually quite simple once you know where to look.
I love Japanese dramas and movies, especially the slice-of-life that also incorporated food porn like Tokyo Girl…
They do usually take a little more effort than just pulling up Netflix/Amazon, but imo they're definitely worth it (and once you know how to access them, it's really not *that* difficult, or at least it hasn't been for me all these years).
Well... *sigh* A few weeks ago I predicted that they'd saved the best for last and while I still like this En of Love installment more than the other 2 it's frustrating how hobbled it seems, presumably having lost that 4th ep to pandemic-related filming complications. That aside, they could've done better with the 3 eps they had. I like that there was no cheating element to the story and the interest b/t the 2 leads was mutual pretty much from the get-go. But so much screentime was spent looking at phone screens, with Nuea just basically hitting on Praram in front of EVERYONE & Praram being a little coy but not really discouraging the attention. Like, this kind of stuff should be the frosting on your story-cake. It's not enough to be the story in & of itself; rather, it should just be a sweet little extra element added to a more substantial foundation. I would've liked to see what they could've done with more eps, as long as it wasn't just more of this.
Despite the criticism, I *still* prefer this overall to both TOSSARA & Love Mechanics (I wouldn't have even devoted the time to type a paragraph about those, after all). I just hope if they do film a full series for either of the other pairings (presumably Love Mechanics, if at all) that Nuea & Praram are at least in the background, if not a secondary couple.
I've only seen ep.01 so far but I thought as I watched it, "Ah, so they saved the best one for last." I appreciate the immediate (and mutual!) interest between the 2 leads, which is already a leg up on the previous 2 En of Love installments. And no lame "girlfriend-on-the-side" plot; no uncomfortably pushy, one-sided flirting; and no cringe-tastic bad acting. The only element that gives me pause is that we have a college student pursuing a HS student, which I always think is weird (unless, say, they went to the same HS & already knew one another but were a year apart or something). But I can get past that in a work of fiction (also I guess I've always got in the back of my head that both actors are 21, with the one playing the HS student actually being the *older* of the 2 so...). Like I said, I've only see the first ep so things could change but so far this is shaping up to be the best of the 3 series imo.
imo Makiko Esumi as Chinatsu Tsuboi is the one character casting that can't be substituted in any future installments of the Shomuni franchise. It would feel super-weird watching someone else stride in to save the day with her trusty ladder.
Does our female lead get less... hmmm, irritating? Her yelling and getting in Yuto's face in the first 2 eps is not an adequate substitute for a personality. It certainly doesn't make for a very interesting, let alone compelling, character. Can I trade her in for the Laundry Fairy as costar?
