like most short dramas there are a lot of strange edits and rushed plot points, but the Leads’ chemistry is really great.

absolutely loved it, my only complaint is that the ending dragged a bit. loved the chemistry between the main couple and the relationship between the main couple and the 2ML.
Also I hate politics and palace intrigue in my dramas, but this one was really good-there was not too much screen time devoted to the villains and their evil plotting.

Hopeful open ending

Really loved the first 8-9 episodes like many others are saying. I didn’t dislike the ending, there was just a lot of boring fluff and filler. I feel like it could’ve been so much better if they trimmed it down to 10 episodes.

I loved everything about this except for the lame frame story. I know they are usually forced to do this by the censors, but man it was clunky and not well done. Cut out the first 15ish minutes and the last 10ish minutes and this is a super fun show.

I love the way this drama treats the antagonist female characters as real people and not simply cartoonish villains. Yes they behave badly, but their motivations are mostly clear and I can sympathize with them by the end of their arcs.

I had MAJOR SLS in this show, and I watched it before I saw anything else with Seo In Guy in it, so I would say yes, but it’s been a long time so I can’t entirely remember. I do know that I didn’t rate the show very highly, so maybe if you have other reasons to watch as well… but if not then maybe just search for clips to watch instead.

I really like this season of the show( although I do agree with everyone else that season 2 is better) the only thing I didn’t like was the last episode. The ending was wildly rushed and left an unsatisfying feeling. It doesn’t ruin the rest of the story, but it is disappointing that the ending isn’t more complete.

She was pretty was my first SLS. I totally agree with School 2015 though, haven’t seen Reply 1988 though.

Genuinely that’s me too! Give me a SML who has interests beyond the FL and(at the very least) is moving on with his life by the final episode rather than still pining pathetically. It’s the worst when they do a full 180 on his character as a way to make the ML’s improvements look that much better by comparison (I’m looking at you Princess Hours).
To be clear I did not have SLS with PH, it’s just an example of the writers doing a terrible job of writing the SML.

Yeah, it definitely seemed like the mother was alive, but missing for whatever reason. Maybe they didn’t recognize each other from the picture in their first meeting. It was somewhat short and sudden.

I wish they would have developed the 2ML more, because I didn’t like him either but I think that was just because I didn’t know why I should care about his existence. But that is something that gets sacrificed in short length series-we’re lucky if there is any character development for the main leads, forget anyone else.

It can happen. In some families if you don’t meet at the wedding then you never meet your sibling’s(insert other family member here) in-laws. I think it really just depends on the family. I get the impression that the ML’s dad didn’t approve of the marriage to begin with… so, I definitely believe that they never met.

I have no problem with the dubbing I c-dramas generally, except for when it’s bad(like you can tell the audio was recorded in a different room) or when the actor gets a different dubber for different shows and it’s obvious. I’ve only noticed it a couple of times though. Most of the time the bad dubbing happens it will just be for a word or a line and I’ll flinch but then we get past it and move on. I understand the reason for the dubbing so I don’t care that its happening. So long as the story and characters are interesting I can get immersed enough to forget that Dilraba(or whoever) sounded different the first time I saw her.
