Nah, it's not just you, I have also noticed. I think the pace was quite alright until the past 2 episodes, but somehow it feels deliberate. The situation they are in is awkward, uncomfortable and nerve-wracking. They are trying to talk while being careful about what they say, and I think it's accentuated by them going slow and us having to focus on their body language. For example, Khem fidgeting with his hands, Master's wavering eyes. Jet's fast changes in expression/emotions, etc.

yea.. at least the scriptwriter got our ML (the military officer) scolded for that haha so it doesn't seem like it's okay to come and go but then again, it kind of went back to how it was.. and about the their professionalism, we can see that they got some ideals that come in between their work.

Oh okay, thank you! I will also clarify myself just case, when I said that she has ADHD I never meant it as a generalization nor I meant it as "THIS is how ADHD in adult looks like". I apologize for not expressing myself correctly. I wrote ADHD as the only disorder because that's the only one that they confirmed in the drama but I think that most of her behaviors are also affected by other disorders. For example, I think that intermittent explosive disorder could explain her sudden bursts of anger where she curses, throw things, etc. of course it could also just be her not knowing how to manage her emotions, that we don't know for sure which one it is. Of course, we also have to keep in mind that this is a drama and things can be exaggerated.

I saw a few comments regarding the cousin and I just wanted to say, yes, I have to agree that she's loud but remember that she's has adult ADHD. Probably also other disorders that weren't clearly mentioned but just hinted at. However, I just want people to know that her mood swings, impulsiveness, etc. aren't just her being childish or whiny but something that she mostly can't control.

with all the possible conflicts, they had to pull up the "you have to marry x girl that you don't love to save your loved one"??? ughhh.. we are in freaking episode 6, what will the remaining 30 episodes even be about now???

No, she isn't. The ex-wife is just another character, that I think we will get introduced later on the story. The second FL is his childhood friend.

I totally agree with all you said. she seems so clueless of the world and what's happening around her. honestly, I would have accepted mingxuan's offer to move out and try to distance myself from him as much as possible. She even gets upset when mingxuan tells her to leave him alone - girl, this isn't about jealousy this is about you being FRIENDS with a STALKER that you said yourself that makes you uncomfortable... I would totally believe if they were a generation apart cuz wow..

I normally hate and just drop these kinds of dramas cuz they give you a headache but really this time it's different. yes, there's the clichè but at the same time I don't really know how things will fold and that's why I'm still following.

by the way, do we know the age gap between mingxuan and mo fei? not the actors but the actual characters in the drama. sometimes it really seems like mo fei just turned into an adult by just how she behaves while mingxuan is so mature and grownup.

I have one thing to say, finally, a drama that got a "serious" theme and didn't ruin it with all the brainless romance things that c-dramas usually love to use - leaving behind the heartbeat scene at the beginning. The seriousness and the romance are well balanced and that's what I love to see!

i'm somewhat similar but more of a "dropping when the romance starts" or to put it in a generic matter "dropping halfway through the drama" haha I would start a drama, watch it till around episode 6~10 and then drop it.

Ahhh I loved how Vincenzo was saying the lyrics of the opera out loud, "All'alba vincerò. Vincerò" (I will win at dawn. I will win). It just enforces his nature - or to be specific - his name.
For those that may not know "Vincenzo" means "to win", "to conquer" or "to be a winner".

i think that vincenzo suit him well. he's as badass and yet "gentle" as the name, if you know what i mean haha

his korean name is park joo hyeong and he definitely spent a part of his childhood in korea before he got adopted as he remembers/knows his mother (the summary says that he moved at the age of 8).

i watched it on iqiyi though and i don't have vip so maybe check again because i know that this afternoon (when it just came out) it was for vip only
