I don't necessarily "drop" dramas, I will put them on hold. So I have only dropped 3 dramas so far. I know that I have watched dramas in the past that were slow or uninteresting at first but I ended up liking them. So with that thought in mind I will put a drama on hold and maybe during a slump or dry spell I might pick one up again, hasn't happened yet but who knows?????

I often see comments about how great a show is and decide to give it a try but iy seems most K-Drama viewers are…
Seriously you must have it rough because I absolutely like to get input from other watchers of K-dramas so I can decide about shows I'm on the fence about. I'm definitely one of the people you described in your post, I am certainly gravitating towards a majority of dramas because of the male lead. I will also admit (????) I have continued watching certain dramas I might have otherwise dropped, because of the male lead. I come for the romance I confess. That's not to say bad acting or bad writing gets overlooked, its just that sometimes I give it more leeway before I give up on it????

I don't like to leave something inconclusive in general. That's why I take my time to pick the production. I have…
Sorry I creeped onto your page. Three of your drops I completed. I have re-watched Fated to Love You many times, I really enjoy that goofiness. Also finished and loved King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo, although I would not re watch again because its way to long and took too long to develop. In the end it was the story, as a whole, that I loved and invested my time in. The last show was Doctor Stranger and I forced myself to finish that one because of Lee Jong Suk. I did not want him paired with who was paired with and the story started getting dragged out by middle? toward the end. Plus I hated the ending. The medical portions of the show were good, I just got tired of the spy portions. Why did you drop these dramas?

It is not just you. I find her acting choices too emotional for every scene. As I type this I realize that may…
Yeah I liked her in We are Surrounded but she feels "heavy" in this drama. Though I agree writers/directors have a hand in dumbing down females at times, this misstep feels like her. Like maybe she read the synopsis and thought this was the direction she should take.

I'm really loving this drama but is it just me that finds the female lead really annoying? I can't like her acting,…
It is not just you. I find her acting choices too emotional for every scene. As I type this I realize that may be intentional since she has spent her whole life the way she has, but its still annoying.

I don't know if you should be sending folks to Playful Kisses. That was not one of her better moments. In my opinion.
I guess if people see her in this or even My Father is Strange, they can handle the foolishness is her in Playful Kiss. Heck I didn't even realize it was her when I was watching MFiS until part way through the show, that's how much she improved. Of course a bit of the atrociousness had to do with that was how the character was written because I've watched the Japanese version and I can't stand that actress's portrayal either.

I agreed with you except for the female lead being dull. Im a follower of Somin. Her acting is good. Should watch…

Wow. Romance, if you are a young celebrity, especially a male, is so broken and unfair. They cannot win either…
Yeah, don't know why you are so salty about her long comment. We get it, you don't think people should care or comment about celebrity lives. Got it. Your belief and opinion, keep it moving. Others don't agree or feel the same, their prerogative. You keep urging folks to "GET A LIFE", but you seem to have time in yours to criticize people. You said how felt in your first post, now you felt the need to personally berate someone. Take a bit of your own advice, get your own life and let them live theirs.

I've only watched Pinocchio, City Hunter, and Playful Kiss. I got caught up in your title and yes, I was so ready to come for you but you made some valid points. Turns out you weren't trying to say these shows were bad shows, just that the romances on them were not good enough to have it labeled under the "romance" genre. With that being said and in regards to the three dramas I actually watched, not having what you consider the "recipe" for the making of a genuine romance does not detract any from these dramas-with the exception of Playful Kiss. That show was set up as a romance so I needed a more believable and endearing romance. As for the other two, they were story driven dramas that happened to have romance so they can be forgiven for not following a romance formula to the tee.

I need to start this drama
Take the opportunity to catch up since it's not going to air this week. I think it will be back the week after that. Don't quote me on that. It is very good, not always fast paced but a storyline that is developing well.

This show is awesome and I'm so frustrated we have to wait two weeks to get the next episodes. After watching episode 12 I am on pins & needles wondering how they are going to wrap it up. Everyone is doing such a great job, even if there are parts where we as viewers have suspend our intelligence for a bit, because the characters sure have, it still is exciting television. Please come back strong and end well.

I really loved this movie. I can't say I'm surprised by the ending, what else could have happened? Still, it was heart moving. Gong Yoo was all things good like always. I truly love this man. Even his silences show great acting ability. The affair was sadly loving and surprisely, for me, not heart wrenchingly wrong. It's a slow movie but worth the watch.

I loved Goblin, Pinocchio, Oh My Venus, and It's Okay, That's Love. It is hard for me to understand why someone would not like them. I was not a huge fan of Bride of the Century and never have gotten around to watching Shut Up: Flower Boy Band. My mom almost didn't finish watching Pinocchio because she thought the episodes when they were young sucked. She later came in on me watching later episodes and loved it. I wonder if you actually finished any of the shows you mentioned would your opinion change?
